It's okay to change your mind, reassess a decision, or in aviation terms 'divert'.
A B-1 Lancer diverted to RAF Fairford last week due to a bird strike and at the same time I was also contemplating a divert.
'Pressing on' just because that was the original (flight) plan is not necessarily the best course of action.
It's similar with marketing, times are changing, your customers are changing.
Just because it has always been done that way doesn't mean you should carry on.
A regular strategic review of your business and marketing to identify these changes, challenges and opportunities is what I am really good at.

For my own strategic review:
I decided to take my house off the market and not move.
The reasons I decided to sell it in the first place:
- My parents needed looking after
- I needed space for a dedicated office
- It would be more convenient to be closer to Bath/Bristol
- I didn't need to be next to RAF Fairford anymore
- I was thinking about a new, fresh start
- I wanted a property with a view
When I reviewed the situation:
- My parents don't need looking after (yet)
- It was me that needed the company, not them
- I'm looking at garden offices, but I'm out more now
- For when I visit I've a second office set up at my parents house
- It's more convenient from here for London and Gloucestershire Airport
- I don't need to be next to RAF Fairford, but I get to see the planes
- I've lived around here for the best part of 25 years, it's home
- I wanted a property with a view of fields but I get aircraft
- I love my Cotswold cottage at the end of the runway!
Decisions are made based on the information and circumstances at the time but continuing once things change and new information is available is fool hardy (or dangerous if you are flying!).
The B-1 is still at RAF Fairford so I am keeping my eyes and ears open!
