"Community is not about bringing people together, it is about connecting them." Here is an event and we have food, is a really easy way of bringing people together. But truly connecting them requires more. It involves engaging and interacting on a deeper level. We focus on onboarding that welcomes members to the community's spirit, encourage discussions about shared goals, and facilitate activities that build bonds. In essence, connecting people is about creating a space where everyone feels they belong and can grow together, supported by shared experiences. This is one of the conversations that stuck most with me, when I met up with Kirsten Wagenaar and Venessa Paech, discussing the current state of community management. What do you do, when one person is from Australia, one from the Netherlands and the third from Germany? Right, you meet up in Italy to talk about the global community industry. #communitymanagement #community #communitybuilding
