My profile is the fusion skillfully orchestrated between my different professional experiences and my philosophical approach to life, one being inseparable from the other ✨ but I’m not my profile …
It’s easy to say that being worried or anxious or even having violent thoughts is useless. It's like telling someone who's crying that there's no point in crying. It's more like saying that crying serves no purpose. Indeed, it is crucial to express your emotions, to experience them. An emotion is a movement. That's the only thing you can be sure of. There is therefore no point in resisting because you would block the movement and your resistance would act as a barrier. The emotion would accumulate in you and therefore gain momentum and then gain strength! Whereas if you are aware that the emotion arrives, passes through you and then leaves you, then you can experience it more serenely even if some of it is unpleasant! Observe without judging and above all without comparing one emotion to another and think of all these emotions that you have already been confronted with and which are no longer there! When you are in an emotionally complicated moment, do not feed this emotion by pouring out thoughts that go in its direction, especially when it comes to difficult or unpleasant emotions! Take a step back even if it's complicated when you're in a critical state, but tell yourself above all that it's an ephemeral situation like all the forms that life can take! Life is a continuous movement, just like emotion, and it is constantly renewed at every moment. Life springs from the void, is made and unmade in total freedom. Don't try to domesticate it, that would kill it. If you try to control your emotions you will sink so deep into them that you won't come out. Live and don't let emotions control you either, move forward on your own path no matter what. You will come across all the forms of life in which you can reflect yourself to recognize yourself there! Have faith in the beings you meet, it is you that you see, they are not by chance on your path…

As we journey through life, simplicity emerges as the ultimate goal with age, a pursuit marked by a deep appreciation for the uncomplicated joys and an intentional simplification of complexities. The older we become, the more we realize that simplicity is not just a lifestyle choice but a profound mindset, allowing us to savor the essence of each moment and find fulfillment in the uncomplicated beauty of life. In a world often entangled in complexities, embracing simplicity in our later years becomes a liberating and enriching pursuit, offering a path to true contentment and a well-lived life.

Completely agree with this. Even when uncertain or negative things happen, it's important to keep a positive mindset. What seems negative or daunting in the moment can have the potential to lead to fantastic outcomes. Focusing on the negative makes it hard (even impossible) to see what positives may come.

3M | Global Social Media Leader | Enabling social media capability and best practice across diverse B2C and B2B marketing professionals
This topic is at the front of my mind as I'm involved in recruiting currently. It's relatively simple to assess what a candidate already knows from their CV. It's harder - but more insightful - to dig deeper and ask for examples that demonstrate an appetite for learning, both in their previous experiences and now. I'd much rather employ someone whose current capability may be a bit lower but can demonstrate they're on an upward trajectory. The person I recruit today is the one I can see as either my potential successor or as (at least) a peer in the future. And for sure I don't want to employ someone who thinks they don't need to learn any more in a world (bearing in mind I work in social media) that is changing faster than ever before. If you're standing still, you're being left behind. I'm 53, and while I have a wealth of experience in my current role, it feels like I'm learning more and faster with every passing year. Having knowledge and experience is good. Having knowledge and experience with clear potential is better.

Mental health is still very stigmatized and esp among service members. They are scrutinized for seeking services by their own team, peers, and society. We lack mental health professionals trained to work with the military and should be provinding mental health professionals with military specific training to understand the culture and complexities of being military. Being informed on best practices and approaches with this population would reduce civilian professionals from causing further harm. Organizations like the coffee bunker provide a safe space and resources for vets and have become one of my favorite places to go and support. I will never stop advocating for our military and their families because they sacrifice so much for us to live here and have that security. The least we can do is support them and understand they are human and even if not fully displayed, have emotions too. If you saw a soldier with a gaping wound, you’d immediately step in. Mental wounds go unseen and therefore to society don’t exist. Soldiers are battling an internal war and if not treated will create an external war in their families, friends, and impact their jobs. Do not stop advocating for our soldiers and their well being!
