🎓 Pro Tip: Secure that cash and submit your FAFSA early before the money runs out! 🚀 The sooner you file your FAFSA, the bigger the chunk of financial aid you'll snag for college. 💸💯 While federal and state aid is locked in by deadlines, college scholarships have a limited shelf life. So, if you're a senior eyeing those college funds, apply early! 📅💵 #FAFSA #CollegeMoney #GetThatAid

Practical Homework for the Finsense Class of 2024 First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to all of you participating in the Finsense Class of 2024. Last week's class lessons went viral, with over 100,000 people checking in to take notes. If you know someone who could benefit from this class, encourage them to follow and share the lessons shared here. Stay tuned; there is more to come. This week, I'd like to remind you of what I expect for you to get the most out of this class: 1. Create an Annual Personal Budget: Break it down into monthly budgets. Understanding where your money comes from and where it goes is crucial. 2. Build an Emergency Fund: Be prepared for unexpected expenses. Aim for an emergency fund covering three months of expenses. If you don't have one, start by saving enough to cover one week, then gradually build it up. Replenish your emergency savings promptly after withdrawals. Consider keeping this money invested in a savings account or Unit Trusts. 3. Invest Smartly: Make your money work for you. If uncertain about investment options, consider Unit Trusts. These are collective investment schemes that pool savings and invest them jointly. They are regulated, reducing the risk of losing money. Consider reputable options like Xeno, UAP, and Britam. 4. Seek Personalized Guidance: If you need one-on-one sessions, I offer guidance at UGX 100,000 per session. Note that the rate will increase to UGX 200,000 per session in March 2024. Sessions are conducted online via WhatsApp. Contact me to schedule yours. Lastly, while I strive to address your questions and comments, the class size is significant, and I may not always reach everyone. Nevertheless, my wish for you this year is to make substantial economic progress. #Classof2024withLivingstoneMukasa
