Medicare typically does not cover long-term care services such as assistance with activities of daily living or custodial care provided in nursing homes or assisted living facilities. However, Medicare may cover certain skilled nursing facility care or home health care services on a limited basis if specific eligibility criteria are met. #GatewayFinancialPartners #BenchOfLife #Medicare #LongTermCare #Retirement #FinancialPlanning

The reliance on contract nursing that started during the global pandemic and continues today can be costly for hospital administrators and culture. In my latest article I explain an innovative way administrators can get travel nurse costs under control, while also helping full-time team members save more for retirement – it’s called the retirement shift. https://lnkd.in/dcZsaF3K

Long Term Care Insurance Specialist | Independent LTC Broker Representing All Carriers & Plan Designs | Natl. Ranked
“I want to be in a nursing home — said no one, ever.” — Founding Partners, Natalie Karp and Rona Loshak Many people visualize a nursing home when they think of long-term care, but LTC doesn’t always mean institutional care. Instead, it’s the care you need when you can no longer perform daily tasks by yourself — routine activities that healthy people don’t give a second thought to, such as: bathing, dressing, eating, using the toilet, getting into and out of bed or a chair. The need for long-term care may be due to physical limitations or disabilities resulting from illness or injury — or just the normal aging process. While care is provided in nursing facilities, assisted living, and adult daycare centers, the majority takes place in the recipient’s home, often provided by unpaid family members or friends. Take control of your own future care, and avoid burdening your loved ones. Go to a nursing home. I've been to many nursing homes over the years, and each time I experience the same emotions. Sadness, anxiety, depression, and inspiration. Nursing homes are not places people go to live; they are places people go to spend their remaining years. They are not places of fun and adventure, but instead are focused on comfort and stability. I'm not down on nursing homes. Nursing homes provide a necessary experience for residents and for the family of the residents. Most do their best to make the lives of their residents as content and happy as possible. But nobody wants to be in a nursing home. This is what makes visiting them so difficult. You imagine your loved ones there, and if we're being honest, we imagine ourselves living there. Ask any resident what they would do if they could turn back the clock 10 or 20 years, and not a single one would say they would watch more TV, rest a little more, travel less, or live in their comfort zone more often. Instead, they would passionately tell you all the things they would do with their second chance. They'd tell you the things they would create, the places they would go, the people they would surround themselves with, the impossible goals they would tackle, and the adventures they would go on. This is your time to do, experience, and become all that you want. What will you do? #BadassRetirement #BeBadass #retirement #retire #newbook #booklaunch #motivation #goals #seekimpossible #upgradehealth #retirementplans #badass5 #retirementmyth #createalifeyoulove #adventuremore #ownyourlife #retirementplanning
