Embracing Cultural Diversity in Media and Communication As a media and communication learner, my passion lies in connecting with diverse cultures and colleagues to enhance our understanding of the world. With a strong foundation in digital media production and cross-cultural communication🌎, I aim to demonstrate different cultures and perspectives through storytelling. My skills include: · Proficiency in Mandarin · News writing · Video editing · Graphic design · Social media strategy · Photography📷 ... I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Digital Culture and Communication at the University of Sydney, building on my Bachelor's degree in Communication with a major in Digital Media at the University of Queensland. My academic journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of media, communication, and marketing, particularly in the digital realm. I recently completed an internship with People’s Daily Online Australia, where I gained invaluable insights into the differing media and communication practices between China and Australia, which makes me more interested in different countries and cultures. By collaborating with both China and Australia’s local journalists, artists, event managers, media professionals, and other stakeholders, I ensure that their stories and voices are authentically represented in my words and news. Being proficient in Mandarin is an important advantage for m, which allows me to connect with communities in Chinese-speaking, conduct interviews, and learn about local conditions and create content related to culture, economy, tourism, trade, communication and more. For instance, my proficiency in Mandarin allowed me to participate in my recent internship by helping Chinese cities, such as Shenyang and Zaozhuang, demonstrate cultures and traditions, build brand awareness overseas, and establish connections with individuals, companies, communities, and sectors from different cultures during the investment promotion process. My goal is to create media that connects people across borders. My passion for diverse cultures, combined with my skills and Mandarin proficiency, allows me to contribute meaningfully to this global dialogue. Welcome like-minded media professionals to contact me:) Let's make a positive impact on the world through media!!! 😀 #Chinese #Digital communication and cultures #Media # #CulturalDiversity #Mandarin #Cross-cultures communication #China #Australia #meco6928

Freelance Chief Marketing Officer | Fractional CMO | B2B and B2C in Europe | Strategy Lover | Brand Builder | The Marketing Unicorns
Greetings from Business in Switzerland! 💼✨ This is one of the best parts of an international career: working with many different nationalities and in different countries. It's one of the things why I am so happy to work in Global Marketing. Why I love it? It’s a continuous learning and growing! 🚀 Last week I was working again from Zurich, with the team located there. Here are some insights: 📌Punctuality: Timeliness is highly valued! Meetings start on time, and deadlines are expected to be met. Remember the Swiss watch-maker tradition! 📌 Languages: With four official languages the Swiss are multilingual. German is the widely spoken, especially in a business context. Swiss German is a different beast, though! 📌 Efficiency: The Swiss are known for their efficiency and attention to detail. They prefer detailed, well-prepared business discussions. 📌 Hierarchy: The Swiss business environment is more formal and has well-defined structures – especially when I compare to the Netherlands… ...and last but not least! 📌 Quality of Life: Switzerland is consistently ranked among the top in the world for quality of life! Public transportation, cleanliness and, of course, the stunning natural scenery 📌 Pride: The Swiss are (rightfully!) proud of their country, you see this also when Swiss flags are shown nearly everywhere! ❤️ People: Everyone I work with is very friendly, curious, polite and also, fun! They know how to be professional and after, enjoy life. What was your last meeting with someone from another country? What eye-openers can you share?

a curious 24-year-old student currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in International marketing. Looking to apply my existing knowledge to explore my professional interests further and gain valuable work experience.
Good day, everyone! 💭 Does anyone have any advice on a job search in Germany without German language knowledge? Throughout my job search so far, I have made an experience that the main requirement that makes me unsuitable, for otherwise perfect roles, is German language (companies are usually looking for C1+). I am still on my language learning journey, making progress, and approaching B1 at the moment. In theory, I know that start-ups for example are more likely to have English as their main and/or only company language. Nevertheless, I seem to not be finding many job offers like that. Will be happy to get any advice in this regard or simply hear your thoughts! Thank you in advance! 🙏 P.S. I am looking at the following opportunities: - Customer Support (which I have 4 years experience in); - Voluntary Internship in Marketing or HR (no previous experience). Location: Hamburg (on-site or hybrid); or Remote (Germany). Availability: available to start immediately. (Please find my CV attached)

PR? Think Again. 🤔 As an international student and immigrant in Canada, I've noticed a common misconception: that our primary goal is to obtain Permanent Residency (PR). Sure, PR is important for many, but it's far from the only reason we’re here. Let's talk about this… Is it just the Stereotype or Reality? Some of us are here to chase big dreams and make a mark. For others, it’s about finding stability and starting fresh. We come from various backgrounds with unique goals and ambitions. For instance, I came to Canada to boost my career with a Business post-degree, and thanks to internships and hands-on projects, I’ve levelled up big time! But here’s the catch: But it's not just about me. A lot of us find ourselves trapped in a vicious circle of employment just to meet PR requirements. It’s tough slogging through roles that don’t align with our skills or passions. This often leads to burnout and even negative experiences. Now, imagine this: what if we flipped the script? 🔄 What if we focused on opportunities that truly match our skills and ambitions? It’s not just about getting by; it’s about finding joy in what we do and building careers we’re excited about. Next time you meet an international student or immigrant, remember: we’re not just ticking boxes ✅ —we’re scripting epic tales of dreams and triumphs. Thank you Ritika Saraswat for your exceptional guidance, helping immigrants navigate their career journeys and turn aspirations into accomplishments. 🙌
