Dear Landlords The Pros and Cons of - Hiring a Corporate Property Management Company Pros - - Potentially lower monthly fee due to higher volume of properties that the company is managing. - The company may have more network connections and quicker tenant leads Cons - - You get what you pay for. Lower fee = less service or more hidden fees. - Possible upfront fees for signing up for their service. - High turnover of Property Managers. Generally each assigned Property Manager will look after about 150 properties with minimum administrative supports. - This translates to - 8 hours a day x 60 minutes per hour x 5 days / 150 properties = 16 mins per property per week. - More concerns with filling the vacancy and less concerns with finding the best possible Tenants Ask the right questions.
