We are stronger when we walk together, When a woman leaves a violent partner, she loses so much more than a roof over her head - she risks her safety, faces relocation and loses access to financial stability, community, and support systems. With domestic violence as the leading cause of homelessness for women, many are forced to choose between staying with a violent partner and having a place to stay. Support Walk for WAGEC Women's & Girls' Emergency Centre (WAGEC) so that women and their children can walk away from violence. With the rising cost of living and housing crisis, WAGEC's services are more in-demand than ever and needing your help to raise $300,000 that will fund vital services that will support women and children in crisis, and stop violence before it starts. A donation of $250 could provide three days of crisis accomodation for a woman and her children who have just escaped violence. Every dollar helps to build a safer future for women and children in our community. We're stronger when we walk together. Donate here: https://lnkd.in/gT7rErZ8

Make tax time effective and helpful
Everyone deserves to feel safe from family or domestic violence. Each year, we respond to 150,000 calls for help and provide over 35,000 bed nights in secure accommodation for people who are not safe at home. One of these calls came from victim-survivor Emma, who needed help escaping her abusive husband. She connected with us via webchat, and our Family Violence Specialist supported her in creating a safety plan and leaving. As the financial year draws to a close, we ask you to consider helping us to continue providing and expanding our 24/7 crisis line and accommodation services. Your support allows us to better assist Victorians experiencing family or domestic violence—tonight and every night. With your tax-deductible donation, you can ensure that anyone experiencing family or domestic violence, just like Emma, has someone to call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Don’t miss your chance to maximise your support for WAGEC! Donate to Walk for WAGEC today to have your contribution DOUBLED by our partners at Pepper Money ANZ. If you give $100, WAGEC gets $200. If you give $250, WAGEC gets $500. If you give $500, WAGEC gets $1000. This means we can turn one week of groceries into two. We can provide a woman with crisis accommodation for six days instead of three. We can give crucial counselling and holistic support to twenty women instead of ten. Every dollar gets the women and children at WAGEC closer to starting a new chapter and supports their recovery after experiencing homelessness or domestic violence. We are aiming to raise $160,000 before tomorrow at 5pm. Can we count on your support to reach our goal? Let’s build safer futures for women and children. We’re stronger when we walk together.

No one should suffer the horrors of human trafficking, yet it continues to thrive in our communities and around the world. Victims—many of them children—are trapped in a cycle of exploitation, fear, and abuse. At Magdalenas Daughters, we believe that with awareness, education, and a strong community of supporters, we can break this cycle and offer survivors a new beginning. This fight isn’t just about rescue; it’s about creating lasting change. Your involvement can help provide the critical resources and care these individuals need to rebuild their lives. By volunteering your time or donating to support our programs, you can be a part of a movement that gives survivors a chance at freedom, dignity, and hope. Join us in the fight for freedom and justice. Together, we can build a world where no one has to endure the pain of trafficking. Every day, systemic inequities force Native American and Black families into impossible choices. Generations of housing discrimination, unjust policies, and economic exclusion have left too many of our neighbors without a safe place to call home. For families experiencing homelessness, the impact is devastating—children struggle in school, parents face barriers to stability, and dreams are deferred for yet another generation. But we believe in the power of community. We believe in justice. We believe every family deserves not just shelter, but the dignity, stability, and hope that comes with having a home. This year, we have an opportunity to create lasting change. Your donation helps us open doors for BIPOC families, providing safe, climate-resilient housing where they can heal, rebuild, and thrive. Don’t wait until Giving Tuesday to make a difference. Help us reach our year-end goal today—because no family should have to wait for a safe place to call home. Donate now: www.just-homes.org Share this post to amplify the mission. Together, we can ensure justice and housing for all. #YourSupportOpensDoors #HousingIsJustice #BIPOCHousingMatters #DonateToday #JustHomes #oakland #California #unhoused #Bipoc
