I'm so pleased to share our latest publication in Advanced Materials Interfaces! In this paper, Infrared nanoimaging techniques and theoretical modeling are employed to elucidate the crucial role of interfacial van der Waals (vdW) interactions in determining the stability of violet phosphorus (VP) when exfoliated on various substrates. The study investigates how these interactions are influenced by flake thickness, substrate hydrophilicity, and surface roughness. Thanks to the team at The University of Georgia and the collaborators at the Cornell University, the Air Force Research Laboratory for this project's success.
