Does your business value process over impact? This week I had the opportunity to serve with my local Rotary International club and our Rotaract club from University of North Texas. We packed 14,000 meal kits for Rise Against Hunger! It was a great experience and their processes really showcased efficiency. For example, the actual packing of the meal kits had so much attention to detail, the small intricacies, that made things move quickly (packing 14k with volunteers requires speed!). It made me think that this organization is not only an organization that values the impact that they have on the communities they serve but the actual processes that allow them to serve. Which then made me wonder would this organization prioritize their processes over achieving impact because they believe that the processes themselves lead to true impact? If you could only pick 1 for your business to prioritize what would it be…process, impact, people, profit? We call this PiPP in the Value Building Marketing landscape.
