Most recording artists struggle with growing audiences on streaming platforms because they are unaware of the paid advertisement that is going on behind the scenes. This is what most major artists are doing and this is what most successful artists are. Independent successful artists are doing as well. You want to run some kind of paid advertisement in order to guarantee that people on these social media platforms are going to go and become fans of you on these streaming platforms. Me personally, every time I release this song, I put some sort of budget, some sort of marketing budget behind that song and I focus on a specific platform. That I'm trying to grow on. I always focus on Spotify because it's still one of the most relevant, and most people always have Spotify over Apple Music, over Amazon, over over YouTube. So the two campaigns that I recommend you running on these social media platforms is an engagement campaign or a conversion campaign, and it should be sending people over to Apple Music or Spotify or YouTube, whatever the case may be. And this will allow you to create an audience big enough so that every single weekend or every single month you're getting your royalty check. There should be no reason why. Is an independent artist you don't have at least 1000 monthly listeners. It is not that difficult to do, but the reason why so many artists struggle with that is because nobody's out there giving them this information.
