A personal reflection before the Christmas holiday. Why should you use Key2Compliance for your professional training? It is a relevant question. I have performed training and have spoken at conferences in all my jobs before becoming Director Training & Courses at Key2Compliance. And I have been part of the competition we face from various consultant companies offering training to the industry. So I think I know what I am talking about when I say that I did not realise that the difference was that big, and I don't think other players in the Life Science industry realise either. Therefore, let me give you some reflections about the things i didn't know, but know now after 2,5 years at Key2compliance: We perform a lot of trainings, more than one per working day, year after year, and to do that we have an outstanding project management and admin team, making sure that everything from first contact to course evaulation and certification runs smoothly. Compare that with companies doing a dozen trainings/year like I used to do. We have a group of employed, dedicated trainers, developing the material together, developing their training skills, using modern practices and tools to make the trainings interactive and fun as well as informative. We attend to Learning conferences and invite experts to get even better and to use modern tools. We can create trainings using VR or with avatars if that suits the customers' needs. We make use of internal consultants to make sure that we are updated on the latest regulatory developments and can share practical experiences, and where we do not have inhouse expertise we hire the best external consultants to do the training. We are certainly not perfect, and we strive to give better training experiences all the time, but all the things I wrote above are things that are difficult to see from the outside. I didn't see them before I joined, when I was part of the industry. And I guess I am writing this partly because I am proud to be part of this excellent and growing team, and partly because I want everyone out there to know that when you order a the next training from us, chances are high that you'll get a great learning experience in 2024. We are not just another consultant company offering some training on the side. This is what we do for a living 24/7 and it makes a difference 😊. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎅 ✨ PS: Can anyone guess which artist prompted this AI-created picture (another tool we're starting to use for generating pictures that support the learning experience)?

Travel is the new e-learning Covid was when the elearning industry blew out of proportion. Companies being valued for billions of dollars, people enrolling for scores of courses, and everybody becoming an online trainer became an everyday affair. Cut to the times after Covid, elearning naturally saturated, dashing and crashing the dreams of many who thought they will mint millions out of it, leading to not only many job losses, but also numerous companies shutting down. This time and moment also incidentally gave rise to Travel, or revenge travel as they termed it. People flocked to any and every part of the world like they had been jailed for years and were finally free. Seeing them, others also joined, and before we knew it, our Insta Facebook, and now even LinkedIn feeds became full of Travel Pictures (and stories and reels and everything else that comes along) Seeing this 'opportunity', one by one, many people jumped ship to start a travel business. And guess what, business boomed from day one! It looked like everybody just wanted to travel, and wanted some help from someone who could tell them where to go, and how to go. We are in the peak travel moment of our living lives. Much like other hype cycles, we think and presume this will continue forever. Truth is, not everybody has all the money to travel extensively forever, and more importantly, everybody isn't even inclined to travel so much in the first place. Travel is having its iPhone moment. If you don't own it / do it, you feel like you are missing out on something in life. So everybody just does it. Then after a while they analyse how it went, how much did it cost, how often do they want to do it. Soon, the infrequent travellers will reduce their travel frequency, which will also lead to an overall general saturation of a hyped up market, and which will all pinch the people who think this phase will last forever. Build a business, grow as well as you can, but when you are riding on a high wave, then be ready for the low tides as well.

For a hotel restaurant (up to 100 employees) I am looking for advice on a suitable LMS (learning management system) Anyone experience with that or tips to help the exploration? Important is the option to have an integrated content creator that produces content that you could potentially move to another LMS if needed. Interface preferably Dutch and good value for money. (of course 😅) Thanks for thinking along!
