Maidenhead United Football Club’s Post

Representatives of the club attended the Missed Birthdays instillation today at Westfield White City in support of CALM's brilliant and powerful initiative - 6,929 balloons representing the birthdays that young people were tragically unable to celebrate. We are delighted with the impact CALM have been able to have on our local community which wouldn't be possible without our CALM partners. - The BA Partnership (London) - Off The Tap - Wilson Partners - HUB - The Shanly Foundation - myHRdept. - Smedvig - Maidenhead Advertiser - G&L Healthcare Advisors

Today we launched our Missed Birthdays installation live on This Morning - raising awareness of the devastating reality of youth suicide in the UK. In the last decade, 6,929 young people in the UK have taken their own lives. It’s a stat that underlines a devastating truth: so many young lives are ending when they should just be beginning. Right now, suicide is the most common cause of death for those under 24. Each balloon in our installation represents a young person who took their own life, and a birthday they didn’t get to celebrate. Parent. Uncle. Teacher. Coach. We all have a role to play in keeping them safe. That’s why we’ve created the CALM C.A.R.E Kit - a free online resource that provides you with everything you need to be there for the young people in your life. Use it and you’ll have all the info you need to be there for a young person - from introducing the topic of mental health, to keeping them safe in a crisis. Sign-up to get practical tips and support from the C.A.R.E. kit straight to your inbox  👉 https://bit.ly/3AQU5IB Learn more about the campaign 👉https://bit.ly/3B4KE8v 💚Together, we can end youth suicide. This campaign was made possible by Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation who’ve joined us in the fight to end youth suicide.
