🏒 🥅 Hockey Fueled Wealth Advisor | Tired of Financial Jargon? Providing Straightforward Wealth Advice for the Hockey Community, Professionals and Families. Grow Your Wealth, Manage Cash Flow & Reduce Your Taxes
Behind every success story lies a journey of love, dedication, and unwavering support. For me, that journey is intertwined with the heartbeat of hockey, a passion that transcends the boundaries of the rink and seeps into every aspect of my life. As a father, my sons have been my greatest motivation and inspiration. Watching them grow and flourish, both on and off the ice, has been a source of immense pride and joy. Their love for the game has not only shaped their character but has also infused our family with a sense of unity and shared purpose. This same spirit of togetherness and collaboration extends to my work at Uptown Wealth Management. Just as a team relies on each member's unique strengths to achieve a common goal, I believe in harnessing the power of teamwork and partnership to help my clients thrive financially. Beyond the realm of sports, the essence of being a team player resonates deeply with me. It's about standing shoulder to shoulder with those who believe in your dreams and support your journey. Together, we can navigate life's challenges, celebrate its victories, and build a legacy that transcends generations. At Uptown Wealth Management, we are more than just financial advisors – we are partners in your success story, committed to helping you write the next chapter of your life with confidence and purpose. ☝️ Check out the Featured section on my page for the full video outlining why clients choose us. #mystory #wealthmgthockeyheartbeat #uptownwealth

Outsourced Finance Team and Part time FDs. We give small and scale up businesses access to our fully managed finance team and proven, commercial, finance leadership.
My Friday reflections are a little bittersweet. On the one hand we have had a great testimonial from Summertown Garage this week and I’m working on another one which should be ready to share next week. They both highlight two of our key values and this makes me really happy! 🔔 Building trusting relationships with our clients by always doing the right thing 🔔 Making a difference by caring about our clients Making a difference is so important to all of us, and I get frustrated when potential new clients choose presenteeism and “getting someone in-house who can also help with other things” instead of working with us! Its frustrating because they don’t stand a chance of being as effective or efficient as we are. Not least because they might be “getting on with those other things”, being distracted by chatting with colleagues or worse yet getting involved with the office gossip and politics. Its frustrating when I KNOW we can make a difference and be a better solution! We are professionals, we are good at our job. We are incredibly productive and bring a whole raft of finance and accounting experience with us which you’ll never get in one person. I think the value this brings is worth so much more than presenteeism, but hey ho! #outsourcedfinanceteam #virtualfinanceteam #fractionalfd

Adults are people too. Shocking, I know. But hippity, hoppity when quarterly planning is underway and the Easter Bunny 🐰 shows up, what are you to do?! Laugh, and a selfie, of course! Our COO Lane Jefferies thinks of everything! This quarter we are experimenting with doing our recap and planning for next quarter before the official end of Q1, which we have not done before. Usually we do it at the start of the quarter so we can have a full and complete recap of the quarter before. But this time we are experimenting with giving our self a full quarter of execution time in Q2. Do you do quarterly planning? If so, when? Length? Ours is 3-4 days. Pros / cons on the timing before or after quarter ends? #quarterly #offsite #triallaw #techcompanywithalegalproblem
