It’s 1 am IST but I just had to share this inspirational video … Carla Harris is an enigmatic and energetic speaker who sets the stage on fire ! I recollect hearing her speak a long time back where I recollect being so moved with her session but this time I could not go to sleep till I shared some precious pearls of wisdom that I earned from this talk! I am not going to list it- encourage you to watch and hear her share but what resonated with me ~ 💎 Be your authentic self - For me this is the core and a key to success in anything one does both personal and professional 💎 How does one build trust? - Deliver, Deliver, Deliver 💎 The elephant in the room- Hesitant in taking risks - Why? The fear of FAILURE ——BUT…………………………………… Failure brings a gift - - - EXPERIENCE! 💎 Call a thing a thing and it needs COURAGE ! Listening to her was directional and self reassuring to some ideals I have questioned myself on. "Representation matters, and visibility is a key component to career advancement." Over a year ago, the Women in Hospitality Leadership Alliance set out with a clear goal to bring more women to hospitality conference stages. We didn’t know exactly where this effort would bring us to date, but knew with steadfast conviction that visibility is critical to elevating the careers of women in the industry. 🎤 When women leaders are visible their credibility increases creating more opportunities for advancement. 🎤 When women leaders are visible their ideas and thought leadership contributes value and new opportunities for the industry as a whole 🎤 When women leaders are visible the next generation of women see that its possible to rise to the top. And now we have a tangible tool to contribute to this goal. Huge contratulations to my colleagues in this endeavor Rachel Humphrey , Lan Elliott and Rita J Varga CIPD (She/Sie/Ella) who have collectively put in hundreds of hours of very detailed work and strategizing to make this happen. #womenleaders #hospitality #travel #publicspeaking #conferences
