This Friday! MANP Connects: Telling Our Stories, Shaping Our Impact. Our MANP Connects program is a space to share about opportunities and challenges facing Maine nonprofits and communities, so it seemed like a natural fit to kick off our 2025 gatherings with a session centered on storytelling. Our featured guests place storytelling at the center of their work, and we can't wait to hear from them. This event is free to attend and all are welcome. Please join us! https://lnkd.in/ec8ETzpT

Looking forward to presenting my most recent thoughts on the Top 10 essential elements for nonprofits. The more nonprofits and nonprofit leaders I work with the more I discover that there biggest challenges come from not being clear on these 10 things. If you don't live in Southern Maryland and can't make the conference and would like my free handout that expands on these 10 to help you measure your organization's foundation (the key to avoid so many issues), comment "foundation" below and I will send it to you after the conference. It will help you understand where some things might be out of balance in your #nonprofitorganization and causing challenges for you! If your are a #nonprofit leader, what would your Top 10 be? Please share in the comments and I will post mine after the conference. #Nonprofitleaders #nonprofits

What a great way to wrap up the week! Holly Sherburne and I had the privilege of representing Angel Oak Creative in leading a discussion on how nonprofits can Amp up their Annual Reports for an amazing Mission Triangle cohort. Thank you Mary Gifford, Aidan Fleming and Mission Triangle for providing this opportunity. We 💚 Nonprofits and are so grateful for the opportunity to invest in their work. Top takeaways from the groups were: 1. Strength-centered language is critical to positioning recipients as empowered rather than victims. 2. Don't forget to include a remit envelope in your annual report. Even if you're not making a hard ask, it provides an opportunity for the champion to support you if they feel led. 3. Tell a story, don't just report the facts. A clear narrative is an important part of effectively engaging your audience. Love this work!!
