17,000$ is how much it will cost you to hire the wrong guy/gal.
Every position starts with a letter.
A letter you write to your future employee.
Or what most people call a 'job description'.
bluh and boring... 🙄
Most are cold, hold no personality, are vague, and some straight-up lie..
There is no brand behind them.
No human, either.
And yet, you want to hire someone who will be excited to work for you.
Bring value & proactivity.
Be loyal.
No, honey.
The person who will apply to that is DESPERATE and just needs a job.
Any job.
Do you want to be that?
If not, here is my advice when you write your next job description:
1. Write in a personal letter format.
↳Refer to the person as "you".
2. Show some vulnerability.
↳Be transparent and say, 'We don't know this/have this yet'.
3. Nobody is excited to be a slave.
↳Show that the person will have freedom and authority.
4. Be funny.
↳This will increase the chance of them applying and being excited.
Most importantly, stay true to your brand and company values.
If you are a boring team, don't try to sugarcoat it.
BONUS: You could add links to pictures or videos from a team building.
📌 P.S. If you have built a strong brand, that letter will show, and so will the presence on your platforms.
The right talent will come to you.
