Stellar Blade is another announcement of the upcoming game! In addition to the Death Stranding sequel, several more games were presented at the first State of Play of this year, and one of them was Stellar Blade, developed by the Korean studio SHIFT UP Corporation. The trailer includes fragments of story scenes, battles and world exploration. In the PlayStation Blog, the head of Shift Up and the director of development of the project noted that the video demonstrates a significant part of the content that will be included in the release version. Stellar Blade will tell the story of humanity's struggle with the mysterious creatures that have infested the Earth. The main character, a warrior named Eve, sets off with other survivors Adam and Lily to save the last stronghold of humanity - the city of Xion. We have finally been announced the exact release date of the game, which is April 26, 2024 on PlayStation 5. Pre-orders for the game will open on February 7. We are really looking forward to it! #throwbackthursday 12 Years ago, Twisted Metal (2012) released on the PlayStation 3 in North America! By the time the 2012 release of Twisted Metal came around, it was the 8th game in the series and was the first to appear on the PS3 - In addition to being an exclusive for the console. The mature rated game is heavily focused around their multiplayer component (including the classic 4 player spit-screen). It also had a single player campaign where you played several levels as three different characters; Sweet Tooth, Mr Grimm, and Dollface. As for the reception of the 2012 reboot of the game, it became public knowledge from David Jeffe (Director of the game from the developing studio, Eat Sleep Play) that the game sold 'fine'. And although we haven't seen the iconic game have a release since then, it's safe to say that Twisted Metal and Sweet Tooth have solidified themselves as key images for PlayStation, making appearances in other areas of entertainment. In Rocket League you can equip Sweet Tooths ice cream truck. There's also a nod towards the game in Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet, where the main character from Slaughter Race (a game in the movie) strongly resembles Sweet Tooth. Lastly, we seen the release of Twisted Metal series in July 2023 which has seen positive reviews and has been renewed for a second season. #throwback #nostalgia #gamingnews #playstation

Helldivers 2 - the most successful PlayStation Studios release on PC in terms of CCU, but Destiny 2 numbers are still higher. ▫️ Currently, the peak CCU for Helldivers 2 is at 203.6 thousand users. ▫️ The previous peak CCU record for PlayStation Studios belonged to God of War, with more than 73 thousand simultaneous players. However, it's essential to consider the genre specificity, as all previous Sony releases on the platform are tailored for single-player experiences. ▫️ In comparison, Destiny 2 on Steam, which is now also in Sony's portfolio, has a peak CCU of 316.7 thousand, set in March 2023. ▫️ The first Helldivers had a peak CCU of 6.7 thousand.
