The state-of-the-art aircraft will operate six times a week between Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur, offering passengers a premium travel experience while embracing the latest in aviation innovation. New Routes for STARLUX Airlines Kobe airport, in Japan's Kansai region, will debut scheduled international operations in April when Starlux Airlines (JX, Taipei Taoyuan) opens two routes from Taiwan. Bangkok Airways Set to Invest 2.3 Billion Baht in Expanding Samui and Trat Airports Bangkok Airways is preparing a major investment of over 2.3 billion baht to expand both Samui Airport (USM) and Trat Airport (TDX), both of which are privately owned by the airline. For Samui Airport, the airline is set to invest approximately 1.5 billion baht. This expansion will see the number of gates increase from seven to eleven, Additionally, the commercial space will be expanded from 1,800 square meters to a spacious 4,000 square meters. Construction is expected to begin in 2025 and is scheduled for completion by 2027. Currently, Samui Airport handles around 2 million passengers annually, but after the expansion, the airport’s capacity is expected to double by 2027, According to Fleet Discovery data from Aviation Week Network, Bangkok Airways currently operates a fleet of 22 aircraft, consisting of two Airbus A320s, ten Airbus A319s, and ten ATR72-600s. Data from CAPA – Centre for Aviation and OAG Schedules Analyser show that 83.8% of all seats at Samui Airport are for domestic flights. Animawings - Launches Flights from Cluj-Napoca and Oradea 🙏😀✈️ 🇹🇩 From January 15, the Romanian airline Animawings will launch 8 weekly flights between Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, Cluj24.ro reported. However, the airline's website lists two additional domestic destinations from March: Oradea and Iași will be available from Bucharest 3 days a week. The airline, owned by Christian Tour, announced that it will enter the domestic flight market by launching the Bucharest-Cluj-Napoca flight, thereby contributing to increasing domestic traffic and developing business. From mid-January, flights will operate between Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, with ticket prices starting from 41 euros (approximately 200 lei).
