Is a therapist, coach or practitioner really helping another person work through trauma when that help is based on systems and schematics of how things should be (done) and what they think healthy relating is? I actually don’t think so. It may actually be a form of gaslighting and retraumatisation. I believe it’s the practitioners ability to stay present with the pain or struggle without judgement - compassionate and in neutrality - that helps the client to process what they need to process and a new healthier way emerges. How do you think or feel?
