A few months into my new part-time job….. Recently I was selected as Director of Operations and Quality Control in the Diaper Division at Haynes Inc., I’ve gained insight which has helped me grow as a professional. Here are five beneficial truths I’ve further cemented in life and in business: 1.     Patience truly is a virtue. 2.     It can get messy…. breathe, proceed promptly with dignity and grace. 3.     In a collaborative effort, always be aware of your team member’s needs via communication and transparency. 4.     Not all cries are created equal- listen carefully to find the solution to the most glaring problem. 5.     The power of a smile has the ability to transcend words.

MEET OUR TEAM Alvin, MQP China’s General Manager, has worked in the grain refiner industry since 2009, joining MQP China in 2018. He is responsible for business development around MQP’s Optifine high efficiency grain refiner range in the Chinese market and prides himself on building strong customer relationships. Q: What is the best thing about working for MQP? “Through introducing Optifine to customers, I am the guy in China bringing ‘efficiency philosophy’ back into the grain refiner industry. I love showing customers there is a totally different way of thinking about grain refinement and am happy I can be the key person to bring this approach into the spotlight.” Q: What do you do in your free time? “As a father of two boys, I actually have very little free time 😊. Taking care of the kids at the weekends and in the holidays is my main job!” Q: What is your favourite film/book? “Forest Gump.” Q: What is your favourite quote? “My own mantra is, ‘life is always in a state of choice and we always need to make good choices’.
