🚀 Reflections after a conference on Generative AI with Malcolm Werchota 🚀 I attended the opening ceremony of the Consulting Academy thanks to eJoventut and Esade, where Malcolm introduced us to the world of generative AI. His talk highlighted how tools like ChatGPT can even surpass experienced consultants, significantly improving the quality and efficiency of our work. Sharing some key learnings from the presentation: 🛠️ Tools like ChatGPT speed up and enrich our processes, allowing for deeper and higher quality interpretations. 🧠 AI becomes a fundamental pillar for analysis and error correction, offering innovative solutions. It enables us to analyze from various viewpoints that we as humans don't have access to, enhancing our understanding and creativity in problem-solving. 🔍 With its ability to analyze large volumes of data, AI helps us overcome human limitations, particularly in terms of interpretation, which is crucial for evaluating KPIs and detecting outliers. This meeting has been a revelation in many aspects, showing me that we are just scratching the surface of what is possible with generative AI. The technology is not only a powerful tool for day-to-day use but also a strategic partner that, when used well, can take our projects and analysis to a completely new level. My key learnings from this talk focus on how we can leverage these tools to not only compete but lead in our field, providing innovative and effective solutions to the challenges we face as consultants in training. #ConsultingAcademy #Ejoventut #ESADE #GenerativeAI #Innovation
The time has come!! Finally, We’re thrilled to announce that our special guest for the Opening Consulting Academy is the singular Malcolm Werchota! We extend our sincerest appreciation! We are eager to listen to this phenomenal guest.

Business Coach & Adviser ✦ Business Mentor ✦ Business Growth Expert ✦ Non Exec Director ✦ Board Facilitator
I took a few moments the other night to look out of my window and reflect on our stunning view on a beautiful solstice. Summer has arrived! As we approach the half-year in 2024, Natalie and I are working with our TAB York members to step back to evaluate their progress against a number of personal and business objectives they set in January and consider the adjustments they need to make to end the year in a strong position. With this in mind, their TAB Advisory Boards have been a great place for reflection and honest feedback. In one of our Boards this week there was some inspirational advice on some of these topics which may resonate with you: - Delivering the launch of a new product to diversify into new markets - Client/user experiences to drive research and insight for planning - Reviewing budgets and forecasts to drive investment - Analysing organisational capabilities to drive recruitment requirements In TAB we are stretching the thought processes of business leaders and owners in a confidential board room environment. Meeting like-minded individuals each month has become a key part of their ability to drive their businesses with the confidence and assurance they need, regardless of the size or journey they are on. If you are looking to find that next level, maximise the opportunities ahead or simply need a safe place to talk openly and honestly about where you are and aspire to be please get in touch and let's have a coffee to talk further. #yorkbusinessleaders #peeradvisoryboards #TABYork

Why should we, as marketers, sales people and managers take advice from restauranteurs? Like it or not, you work in the service industry. You may not be a traditional service industry worker like a server or front desk agent, but you probably provide a service or make a product that provides a service. And to stand out, you need to offer far more than just "service". The best restauranteurs and hoteliers in the world are the best because they don't just serve, they provide excellent hospitality with PASSION. No matter the industry, if you view service more like hospitality and constantly strive for excellence instead of passable, work will be more fulfilling and fun. It will show in your final product and customers will take notice. Do I have proof of this practice leading to personal career success? Not really. But watch this cool video the YouTube algorithm sent me, and you may be inspired. #beexcellent 🤘

Thanks Evelien Dupont for sharing your story on charting your course at BCG!
It's always great to explore new fields (including taking selfies in a coffee bar 😅)! Recently, I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Het Financieele Dagblad about my journey to becoming a Managing Partner & Director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). During the interview, I shared my drive to make a positive impact on the agri-food value chain, my role in advising organizational transformations, and how I balance work and family life. Thank you for all the wonderful reactions! This 'brugpieper' is thrilled for the year ahead. If you'd like to discuss any of the topics I mentioned over a cup of coffee, please reach out! A big thanks to Ronne Theunis for the engaging conversation and Casper Rila for creating a relaxed atmosphere that allowed me to be myself in the picture. What does hospitality have to do with revenue cycle? Quite a bit, actually, according to Will Guidara, former co-owner of Eleven Madison Park and author of Unreasonable Hospitality. He suggests, that every business is basically a service business and that the service you provide your customers directly impacts their experience. But service is just the tactical thing you do for them -- like delivering a dish or sending a bill. How you make them feel when performing that service is hospitality and the thing every business should be striving for. Making them feel good about paying a bill or going to the doctor's office is a very different approach. This is just a fun thing to think about on a Friday morning. https://hubs.la/Q02GYqkB0

By now, many of you will have seen the news that our parent company @WPP has combined BCW Global and Hill & Knowlton to form a new agency called Burson. This is a significant moment of transformation for our companies, one that fundamentally changes the landscape for our clients and creates new opportunities for our people. Clients today are operating in an increasingly complex and volatile environment, making strategic communications with all key stakeholders more critical than ever. Our two agencies share similar ambitions, complementary strengths and many clients. By coming together as Burson, we will draw upon the rich heritages of both to build an agency that sets the standard for the most strategic, technology-driven communications offer in the industry, focused on building and protecting reputation. It’s also a personally meaningful moment for me as CEO of Burson. A throughline of my LinkedIn posts since joining BCW last summer is that I feel that I’m standing on the shoulders of a true industry icon. I only met Harold Burson once, but he made an indelible impression on me. Harold’s rigorous commitment to excellence; his knack for providing sound, strategic counsel; his kindness and decency, to name but a few qualities, have compelled people from around the world to raise their hands to proudly proclaim themselves a #BursonPerson. I saw this firsthand when we rolled out our family tree last fall with PRWeek, and again when our APAC region celebrated 50 years with a webinar attended by more than 1,500 (!) people. Humbling. For Harold, the goal wasn’t to be the biggest, but the best. The best counselors to clients. The best training ground for those new to the profession. He set out to make his firm the gold standard, the one you call when you need counsel. And when you’re the best, all good things stem from there – more clients, more growth, more teammates. Much of this is also true for our colleagues at Hill & Knowlton. As Chairman and CEO, my partner AnnaMaria DeSalva has stood on the shoulders of two trailblazers who created an agency that, like Burson, became synonymous with excellence in public relations. While they were always competitors, John Hill and Harold Burson also became friends, a fact that now inspires our next chapter .Hill & Knowlton will continue to operate as a strategic operating within Burson, building upon its rich heritage. As AnnaMaria has said, what Hill & Knowlton is known for - strategic communication, elevated by creativity - is a primary force for sustainable value creation. As we bring together these pioneering agencies that set the course for the industry we know today, it is my honor to lead Burson in partnership with AnnaMaria. We’re re-setting that gold standard. Onward, together. 🫶🏻🫶🏻
