With over 60 years of combined experience in construction, our field crew knows what it takes to get the job done right. Regular team meetings with our crew are always productive and an excellent opportunity to: ✅ Continuously review safety measures and protocols. We address site-specific concerns, seasonal hazards, and crucial safety topics to keep our team vigilant and prepared. ✅ Discuss customer experience. When a project starts, our field superintendents begin to have more direct contact with the customer, and they do an excellent job of displaying the same level of communication, integrity, and customer service as our office staff. ✅ Build rapport. Our guys in the field don't tend to see each other often, so it's always nice for them to meet face-to-face, talk through any issues in the field, or just shoot the breeze. ✅ Reinforce pride and principle. Our field crew always strives for perfection in their craftsmanship. They hold themselves to the highest level of accountability to creatively and effectively implement solutions for problems and opportunities. They care about their work, and that care extends to your project and the final product. Ready to see if TJK is a good fit for your next project? It's never too early to have a conversation—send us a message today! #Teamwork #DesignBuild #Construction #generalcontracting

Millwork Carpenter | Field Leadership Coaching | Fighter for the Skilled Trades | People-First & Technology-Second Approach
I believe it's the toughest position in construction. You are stuck in between three powerful forces. Each with their agendas and interpretations of your role. The reality is you are part skilled tradesperson. Part negotiator, part salesperson, part safety person, part planner, part go-between. You must be a leader. I learned early on while running projects in the field, that I could do little to move the needle. For the most part, a project was won or lost long before I arrived onsite. I had little to no control over manpower numbers. What was arriving on deliveries. The hours that we were working. If things were built or budgeted correctly. I could only put the right people in the right place and provide them with what they needed to succeed. For me, that meant mind mapping what elevations teams would move to next. For me, that meant thoroughly knowing the drawings and marking up any potential problem areas for all to see. For me, that meant having all the parts and pieces in the room or at an elevation along with drawings ahead of time. For me, that meant discovering and reporting any missing parts or pieces so that nobody else wasted time looking. For me, that meant attending the field meetings passing along info, and resolving issues with the general contractor or other subs. For me, that meant reporting proper time sheets to the office so that people got what they came to work for. For me, that meant taking lunch and breaks with my team to build trust and rapport. One of the smartest things that any company can do is invest in its field leadership, it is the shortest route to improved production and efficiency. Next time the general contractor, the field team, or the office team, want to get after the field leadership, consider how much responsibility they have on their shoulders and at the same time how little authority they have. If you are a young or inexperienced field leader and you have questions on how to get better and play the game at a higher level, shoot me a DM. #trades #skilledtrades #bluecollar #construction #millwork #PM #superintendent

What value do you deliver to your clients? At Graydaze, we understand each projects needs are as unique as your vision. Our team delivers value in 4 distinct ways. Expertise: As the Nation's 2nd largest painting contractor, we've built a wealth of knowledge across many job types, and a few decades. Whether new construction warehouse, data center, or manufacturing plant or commercial repaints in self-storage, national retail, and industrial; our vast experience allows us to tailor each job specific to our client's needs and wants. Quality: Geographic location doesn't compromise our consistent quality. Our in-house field operations and project management team travel the country every week making thousands of jobsite visits each year. These consistent job site visits are one of several ways we ensure every project is meeting the highest quality standards for adhesion, appearance, and everything in between. At Graydaze we preach, "If it doesn't look right, it ain't right!" Speed: Meeting deadlines is paramount. Our team works day and night to keep projects on track and minimize delays. When project needs evolve, we have the ability to quickly scale our on-site workforce to meet even the most aggressive schedules. Value: Paint jobs are expensive and not all paint jobs are created equal. While we may not always be the lowest initial bid, your return on investment will be far higher than the lowest bidder.
