#LongPost A little over a month since I got #backtowork after my #maternity leave. Given the challenges and complexities in this journey, I thought my experience could give strength and confidence to someone out there. As an overweight expectant person, despite natural delivery the recovery process has not been the easiest. In GenZ lingo, the tailbone is tailbone-ing, to say the least! Giving birth is a cathartic experience, it teaches you the power of calibration, endurance and mindfulness all at once. It is astonishing and beautiful, how giving birth enabled me to live through postpartum and effectively plan my return to work, a place where I thrive. 1. #Productivity focus – When you don’t get two hours of interrupted sleep, work life balance may not be the right approach. For me, focusing on productivity at work (and home) has helped greatly. It’s not about the hours but what you do in those hours that matters. Important to highlight and be grateful for the privilege of having a strong support system at home. 2. Driven by #Impact – This helps cut clutter and focus on what is most important at work and deliver high-quality outcomes. Business/brand impact over filler activities OR nutrition over taste #iykyk 3. Power of #teams and allies – You are as smart as your team and your allies help you navigate complexities. An empowered and competent team brings your vision/plans to life and you are able to collectively achieve more.   4. Setting #goals – Be it short or long-term goal, if you define it, you are more likely to achieve it. At home it can be slightly tricky with a child so no goals here, just listen, observe, respond and LOVE! Tell me what works for you? And, since we are on LinkedIn, here is what the last month and a few days looked like with all of the above put in practice - We unveiled and handed over the first trainset of Chennai Metro and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, respectively. Underscored our veteran hiring impact through editorial outreaches internally and externally, concluded several branding and event projects, and won awards at an India and APAC level for the #TakingIndiaPlaces brand campaign #FulcrumAwards and #SABREAPAC being the most recent ones.
