Managed Business Solutions’ Post

This past July I had the pleasure of attending and presenting at the Esri User Conference in San Diego, California. This conference was a significant event for me, being my first in-person attendance, an opportunity to present work with the National Park Service (NPS) and learn about the innovative advancements in GIS technology and how they are being implemented by the wider user community. My colleague, Alison Webering, and I presented our work on combining data formats using elements of the ArcGIS Suite and Power BI to provide deeper insights, opportunities for better decision making, and efficient communication for audiences across the NPS. This was an amazing experience and opportunity to represent Managed Business Solutions and highlight the data solutions we provide to our clients. Another major highlight was connecting with peers, old and new, and learning about the varied ways GIS is being implemented across sectors. I am so grateful for this experience and to see how GIS is being leveraged to contribute to positive change.
