Our team recently participated in a management training, led by Maliasili, one of our partners. The training was truly life-changing, and we are grateful to Maliasili for sharing their knowledge and expertise with us. There were many valuable takeaways from the training, including: - The importance of clear communication and collaboration. - The value of setting goals and developing strategies to achieve them. - The need for continuous learning and improvement. - The benefits of a positive and supportive work environment. We're grateful to the team at Maliasili for their thoughtful and engaging training. One of the most powerful takeaways was the importance of developing a growth mindset. By approaching challenges with curiosity and a willingness to learn, we can make continuous progress toward our goals. This is a lesson that we'll carry with us moving forward. As we head into 2024, we feel energized and excited to apply the lessons we learned from the training. We're ready to take on whatever challenges may come our way, and make this year the best one yet! #wildifeconservation #action4wild

Where problem-solving will take you, a certificate will not take you there. If they employ you as an Accountant, product manager, etc., and you cannot solve their problems despite having ACCA, you end up in the 'CAN I CAN'T.' If they bring you to work somewhere and you cannot solve their problems, you are deemed useless. However, if they bring in an accountant who can solve problems, they will pay him or her more than those with certificates. So, be more interested in solving problems. Let's be practical now. In Genesis 41:1-End, there is a man named Joseph. Joseph, in the Bible, interpreted Pharaoh's dreams about seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine. He advised Pharaoh to store grain during the plentiful years, which helped Egypt survive the subsequent famine. Now you might be asking was Joseph rewarded? Yes, after interpreting Pharaoh's dreams and providing a plan to manage the years of plenty and famine, Joseph was promoted to a position of great authority in Egypt. Pharaoh appointed him as the second-in-command, overseeing the implementation of the plan and managing the resources of the nation. He earned a promotion by successfully solving a problem for pharaoh the King of Egypt. Was this promotion solely based on a certificate? No. We often make the mistake of believing that possessing a certificate determines our success. However, acquiring a certificate alone won't guarantee job security. It's crucial to prioritize problem-solving skills alongside certification, as employers may dismiss those who fail to address their challenges. #careergoals #businessandmanagement #Leadership #Networking #ProfessionalDevelopment #JobSearch #technologydevelopment #Marketing #Entrepreneurship #workplaceculture

The deregistration of Damelin, CityVarsity, Icesa City Campus, and Lyceum College could have significant implications for B-BBEE Skills development points claimed by companies that utilized these institutions for training their employees. According to a statement posted in the Government Gazette on Friday, the department’s director general, Nkosinathi Sishi, cancelled the registrations because the private institutions had failed to submit audited financial statements since 2020. Once the institutions are deregistered, qualifications obtained from them after the cancellation date might not be recognized by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Could this render them ineligible for claiming B-BBEE points associated with those qualifications.
