Break the mold! We need more businesses helping to support students with opportunities to see what is possible and the different paths that are available to them. Take a look at this new Pathways to Work Evidence Clearinghouse Evidence Snapshot from our research partner Mathematica, which explores the impact of career pathways programs. Results from studies of 23 programs show that, on average, participants’ short-term annual earnings increased by $3,117, while their long-term annual earnings rose by $1,069. There are only "minimal changes" in attitudes towards career options between the ages of seven and 17, says the report produced jointly by the OECD and Education and Employers.,,,"You can't be what you can't see. We're not saying seven-year-olds have to choose their careers now but we must fight to keep their horizons open," says Mr Schleicher.- While this report was published in 2019, it is as relevant as it has ever been.
