The Complicated Uncomplicated series TRUST I believe Trust is a 2 way traffic - 1. Truthful (I know who I am and I want to know more about you), 2. Respect (for self and person around me), 3. Understanding (the pains and the stories of the person I am interacting with), 4. Security (Like a child feeling secured and laughing after being thrown in the air knowing that his father will catch him / her) and 5. Transparency (between partners or friends). I have observed that not trusting people has more complications as there is a continuous need to look behind, rather than forward. I will rather be sure of my strength or choice - as an example I cannot have a driver for my car and still be driving myself. I am trusting but not foolish - I will trust you till it is proven otherwise. This is the path I took for my journey and I have no regrets on the lessons that I have learnt on the way. How bad do you want what you say you want and what are you willing to do for it? We got a lesson in persistence yesterday when this raccoon invited herself to lunch on the island. Despite her fear of humans, she was determined to get what she wanted and she didn’t let anything stop her! Now how can you apply this to your life and the pursuit of your goals? Do you insist when you reality reflects something entirely different? Do you keep knocking when doors are closed? Do you stand up to the fear so you can overcome it? This little critter did just that and she was successful because her DESIRE was bigger than her fear. A valuable lesson. Do you ever record conversations with your kids? I've started to. It's a great cure for corporate ennui. Here's an excerpt from last night: Me: What do you think happens when we die? Emelia (9): You know how you're born with the soul? You're born knowing yourself and your soul. Well, I think you got that from somewhere, the life before. So I think what they call heaven is based on your life. They bring you to H-E-double hockey sticks or heaven. You know, the hockey sticks is the life that's worse than the one you lived before, and heaven is the one that's better. So depending on how you do in this life, will shape what you will become and what will happen in your next one. Maybe you're a human again. Maybe you're a butterfly. Maybe you're even a doorknob. 1. You could never speak as eloquent as so and so..... 2. You could never be good as so and so..... 3. You could never be as sought after as so and so.... 4. You could never be like so and so.... The list goes on about so and so.... However what you can be is YOURSELF and there is absolutely nothing else that could be better than that. Work on developing your character - it will take you to a level of excellence that your talent cannot take you. Build your spirit man - it will take you to a level of living beyond what you could ever imagine is possible. Harnes your craft - it will fine tune the value you will add to your environment. Be quick to discover what is unique about you and then work on staying authentic and genuine in everything you do. The anxious attachment suffers from hyper-vigilance and fear of abandonment and seems to find the person who disappears, doesn't communicate well, and doesn't hold respect their needs. You are not needy because you need more communication. You are not needy because #you #like #to #make #plans #and #expect #people #to #keep #their #commitments without being vague. #You #must #train #yourself #to #listen #to #your #body #and #intuition #to #distinguish, #Is #it #me? Or is it them?" #Emotional #reason #is #a #cognitive #distortion #that #says, " If I feel it, it must be true." So, your partner doesn't text you and was supposed to or is late. #You #feel #anxiety. #Commonly, #we #react #to #the #emotion. As soon as you realise you haven't received the text, or they are late, #the #ego #feeds you an automatic negative thought based on your wounds and limiting beliefs to protect you, “See, they don't love you...they're #cheating...you are not good enough, people always leave you..." #You #react. #Intuition #is #a #knowing. There is no thought based on a #fear #of #abandonment. A healed person might think, "Hmmm, I hope they're okay. I will give it 15 more minutes and check on them." This person can use their intuition because their partner has a secure attachment that doesn't play #games, #lie, #gaslight, #manipulate, #or #dismiss #and #avoid.

Happy Friday Friends! In the spirit of being a human being not a human doer, let’s remind eachother that our authentic self is so important! That we are more then the titles we hold! So here is me! Behind the People and Culture title at work and the mom and wife title at home, I am Julie! I am a lover of all things, snakes included!
