Today, I want to walk you through a crucial aspect of brand building: naming products. Traditionally, men’s shoes have been categorized into Oxfords, Derbys, Monks, Boots, and Moccasins At #CUERO, we aimed to differentiate ourselves from other bespoke shoemakers by creating unique product names. We developed our distinct nomenclature after extensive research and collaboration with Rashmi Dharia. For instance, we named our Oxfords "ASTAIRE." The Oxford is the most elegant and distinctive men’s shoe, recognized easily by its closed lacing. Named after the inimitable Fred Astaire, Cuero’s collection of Oxfords is designed for gentlemen with discerning tastes.
