These are my honest, no-nonsense thoughts about the wines I tasted from the Languedoc’s various sub-regions presented on that day. First, there is my take on the region, based on all the wines I tried … then the wines I liked are scored based on a Good, Better, Best approach (all lists are alphabetized). https://lnkd.in/g6JsyJhr Vins du Languedoc

Quite hilarious but I think this is one of my fav videos on Wines Education!😃 And this scenario happens almost EVERYDAY! Champagne and Prosecco are both Sparkling wines but they are different. And the main differences lie in: -the grapes used to make them - the regions the grapes are from - the production method. Watch the video below to understand the differences and next time don’t ask for a Champagne when you actually want a Prosecco!😊 Moët & Chandon Marco Fantinel #sparklingwines #champagne #prosecco #sommelier

The wine example from Alex Hormozi's book $100M Offers… In a blind test, consumers would rank three different wines There was a low-priced wine, a medium-priced wine, and an expensive wine They wore blindfolds, the only thing they were told was the price of each wine Participants ranked the most expensive wine as the best The medium-priced wine came in second place The low-priced wine came in last When it was all over, participants found out they had been served the same wine all three times The conclusion is that people automatically associate higher prices with higher value Interesting study! Do you agree? Why or why not?

Who loves sherry? Did you know that Sherry is expected to be the biggest growing part of the wine market between now and 2028? With so many different styles of sherry available, there is always something for everyone. In Spain for example, we tend to associate sherry with being a drier-style wine; whereas in the UK, USA or Germany (the largest markets for generous wines at present), sherry is generally known for being a sweet wine. In a market-driven shift towards drier wines, let's not forget the traditional styles. These wines are most definitely wines of the future that look into the past, and they most definitely deserve the recognition for it. Meanwhile, there is a single present moment, and so... let's drink them! Do you want to learn more about sherry? Write any questions you have in the comments and let's begin the journey together! #sherry #winetrends #fortifiedwine

At 1.5 litres, a magnum is double the volume of a standard bottle, yet approximately the same cost as two normal bottles, but in far more limited production. There are many reasons to buy a magnum. Firstly, you are going to impress your family and friends. However, there are also technical advantages: the wine in a magnum ages more slowly than smaller bottles, due to a smaller surface area relative to the volume of wine, thus the wine preserves its flavours and aromas better. Like other producers we reserve the magnum treatment for the wines we consider worth celebrating. So, it´s a safe bet that these big bottles contain something special! People say, "Experienced workers are like fine wine, they get better with age!" Maybe the best workers are like the best wines. But not all wines are from California. Me, I can't verify how well fine wines age in the first place. I can't afford them and I can't resist opening them long enough to cellar them. Besides wines don't always age well. You gotta have'em at the right temperature. Callow wines nearly always taste vinegary. You can bring a wine to early maturity by letting it breathe a while. A wine good young will be great mature. - Lew Bloch, software that fits

An anecdotal self affirmation: The end product is never "It". We did a Cabernet Sauvigon Blind tasting yesterday spontaneously! Turns out, coincidentally we brought wines from 4 different regions! I was told I brought one of the better ones ➡️ Vasse Felix Filus Cabernet 2021. A good balance on the nose, taste and even priced affordably at $45. How did it taste well even though it's fairly young? I decanted the night before for an hour, and kept it in the fridge till dinner. 🫢 The method gave it a nice elegant finish! Proof that sometimes, the end results aren't predetermined. There is always a way. PS: But I was also told I brought the worst ➡️🤣 Mcguigan Coonawarra Cabernet 2018. I did mentioned it'll be for fun. Got it for $25! Can you guess which is the most expensive bottle, and the one that surprised us most? Comment if you love wine like we do! #inspiration #wellness
