I really do care about candidate experience. I am an advocate for responding to each applicant, whether the outcome is positive or negative. BUT I am not going to do it anymore, if someone applies to a role and doesn't have ANY of the relevant qualities outlined in the advert, then no I won't waste my time replying. Its taking up way too much of my time, its frustrating and to be honest its insulting. If you're applying to roles online, please make sure you only submit yourself to relevant positions. Despite clearly mentioning in my job postings to share resumes via email, some people still share their resumes through LinkedIn chat without following the instructions. It's essential to read the job description carefully and follow the application process as outlined. Sending resumes in LinkedIn messages instead of the specified email creates confusion and delays the process. Look at the ridiculous response to my question at 4:40 PM: I ask "any particular type of job" and she answers "yes". I'll probably keep saying it until my last breath: recruiters, if you're contacting me about a specific #jobposting #jobdescription, say so right up front! Stop wasting my time and get to the f***ing point! Companies: "Don't lie on your resume." Me: "Don't lie on your job posting." We've all been there too where we are told that something on our resume "must be fake" or that "you couldn't have done that." Well, I did and I've never lied on my resume. But...so many companies have lied on their job postings that offer fully remote work that isn't actually remote. Or saying your duties would be one thing and discovering it would be something totally different during the hiring process. You value honesty and integrity in your applicants.
