** 🔥 UPDATE ** Wow friends. When I posted this 24 hours ago, I had no idea the love it would get. Suffice it to say, I’m wonderfully overwhelmed by the incredible humans who would like to join our mission - please be patient with me if I haven't gotten back to you yet 😅. ** But if we’re going to be so generous, can I ask you do your magic on our other key role we have open: ✨ We’re looking for a Sr Backend Engineer. But not just any BE eng. This is our Engineer #2, a tech lead, a one day VP eng to our formidable CTO Archa Jain. This is not just a role to build some software or an AI product. For the families we serve this is the chance to build THE software that puts bleeding edge AI to work in the very best of ways.. Like I said before: We run lean and we run fast. You'll do some of the best work of your life but it will be some of the most intense. The pay is decent but the purpose is immense. It’s a generalist founding team engineer role with all of the responsibilities, ambiguities and thrills therein. It's based in the Bay Area (Palo Alto), in-person 3-4 days/week. Come build things that really, really matter. If you’re interested, email me: 1. Why? 2. Something extraordinary you’ve done in your past and 3. If you were building Milo from scratch, how would you think about it? What stack, what design, what tradeoffs? Ideally, you'll be "spiky" in one or more of the following areas, to hit the ground running: - experience building and scaling a consumer tech product - sweats the details of infrastructure - experience building with SMS, calendar, international users (eg. time zones) ⚡️Here’s to manifesting lightning striking twice. *** OG post: I'm hiring a Chief of Staff/ generalist role for our team. If you think you want to one day start a company, I can think of no better role to get you the experience you'd need. You'll work on a consumer tech product at the bleeding edge of AI, building something that makes people's lives better everyday. But we run lean and we run fast. You'll do some of the best work of your life but it will be some of the most intense. The pay is decent but the purpose is immense. There's no JD - the job is to help us do whatever it takes to grow from Seed to Series A, primarily by taking on the things currently on my plate. It's based in the Bay Area (Palo Alto), in-person 3-4 days/week. If you're interested, email me: 1. why, 2. something extraordinary you've done in your past, and 3. if you had 4 weeks to grow Milo from 100 to 1000 families, how you would think about it. Ideally, you'll be "spiky" in one or more of the following areas, to hit the ground running: - experience working at a consumer tech company - building/scaling a start-up - GTM for a consumer brand

Full Stack Developer (PHP, Laravel, MySql, CSS, Jquery/Javascript, REST, Blade, Vue JS, .Net, C#), Flutter & Dart, WordPress, UI Design, Mobile optimisation & Wire framing
#DevLife -- "Recently, I had an interview where they expressed concern that I might be too knowledgeable. I guess my secret’s out - I’m an undercover FBI agent! 😂 #JustKidding In all seriousness, the development market is becoming a battlefield. The question arises - do we become a jack of all trades or a master of one? I’ve heard rumors of developers who can launch rockets using just HTML! 😂 #HyperboleAlert So, how do we stay relevant in this ever-evolving field? Even with 7+ years of experience, branching out to a new language or growth opportunity feels like climbing Everest without a guide, especially if you lack experience in that area. It seems companies are more interested in hiring the ‘best’ developers at bargain prices rather than nurturing talent and growing the industry. They’re not looking for rookies, and even when they are, the competition is fierce. The best developers, on the other hand, are seeking top-tier opportunities with top-tier compensation. It’s a tough world out there, folks! #DevLife"

Monetization product manager opening, it’s like I told y’all. The majority of the product manager roles fall under a few categories these days. I have picked up other roles from hiring managers since I post so much and you can get access to interview referrals in Skool. https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH So many hiring manager complain to me that as soon as they post this job on LinkedIn, they get blown up, and just feel overwhelmed. They would much rather I just send over 4 or 5 good resumes, I mean wouldn’t you feel the same way? See you in Skool for the most up to date and urgent openings. https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH Don’t be late to Skool! https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH We are also doing resume reviews this week at Skool for product managers. https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH So many people ask me for a resume review but I just have the time, so I thought I might as well set a time block to do them all. https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH Please reshare for network to show other people just how many new jobs are posted a day. It’s so important that people see evidence to stay hopeful these days. #productmanagement #whatbadeconomy

I LOVE this post by Lianna Novitz. I've counseled dozens of college students, recent grads, MBAs, and seasoned professionals during their job search process. I often hear them say, "I'm looking for a new job, can you let me know if you hear of anything?" Take note of Lianna's specificity in the ask and clear representation of her value prop. Lianna successfully and succinctly includes: (1) Career context - what she's done, where she is currently (2) Her "secret sauce" - what differentiates her from the rest, with NUMBERS (3) Career goals - what she's looking for with specifics (4) The ask - a list of tangible ways you can help her in the search (5) Personality and positivity - she keeps it positive by mentioning all the other things she's been up to, she shows parts of herself that aren't necessarily represented on her profile I also had the pleasure of working with Lianna at Unity and through Women Who Code, and highly recommend her as an employee.
Hello LinkedIn friends and community 👋 Two months ago, as part of a 25% RIF at Unity, I was let go from the SyncSketch team, along with my wonderful engineering manager Jenn and our amazing product designer Polina. I grew a lot in those 2.5 years, especially as we evolved from a team of 7 to 15 engineers distributed across CET to PST timezones. ✅ What I bring ⚆ 2.5 years full stack development experience in a remote startup 1️⃣ boosted team productivity by 50% 2️⃣ spearheaded cross-team deployment of observability tool 3️⃣ reduced open support tickets by 60% ⚆ 3 years in data analytics, diverse industries from healthcare tech to marketing and financial services 🔮 What I’m looking for Mid-level full stack or backend leaning engineering role, in-person in the bay area 🌉 or US remote 💡If you’d like to help and can't refer me to an open role at your org, try: ⚆ scheduling a mock interview with me (https://lnkd.in/e_2D88Dy) ⚆ introducing me to an engineer / engineering manager / C-Suite exec (whether they are actively hiring or not) ⚆ commenting below ⚆ reposting; with or without your own comments ⚆ reacting to this post ❤️ Cheers to my first layoff (I’ve already grown my community so much, big thanks to Women Who Code and Leopard.FYI) P.S. advice for navigating job loss below 🫂 I miss my coworkers - the board game nights, the inside jokes about websockets and the trauma bonding e-bike tour in the pouring rain. ❤️🩹 To fill the hole, I’ve jump started my own Job Search Council with Never Search Alone. We're hiring frontend, backend, and fullstack engineers to join the founding team at Finvest! Instead of just looking for technical skills, we want people who resonate with our mission and can operate with a similar vigor. Here's what that means: - Make Things Happen. You love taking charge of a product and are not scared to question the status quo. We are here to change how people manage their wealth and disrupt an old and archaic industry. - Move Fast. We built a full-scale fintech product with a small team in less than two months. That's the kind of speed we love. - Quality Matters. Early adopters were surprised on how polished our first product looked - it was not just an MVP. That's how much we obsess over details. Location: Our office is in San Francisco and all of us come to the office. We feel strongly about meeting-in-person to build a strong team and create products our users love. Funding and Traction: We have raised a seed round and are well-capitalized for many years. Our recent launch within the YC community went viral and we already crossed a $1M in Assets Under Management (AUM) in record time! If this resonates with you, send me a message. #hiring
