Joel highlighted innovative examples, such as how AI is revolutionizing traffic safety through crash analytics and "move over" laws. ✅ One state is integrating data from its mock system—used during roadside stops—and transcribing it in the cloud to send real-time alerts via Waze or Google Maps. This approach helps reduce roadside accidents and fatalities by prompting drivers to slow down and move over. ✨ Another impactful application of AI discussed was the use of predictive analytics to foresee traffic incidents. By analyzing multiple datasets across state agencies, governments can strategically deploy resources like ambulances and adjust speed limits to enhance road safety.
