How to get 0 clients from outreach Simple: fake interest. The moment you say "the main reason I reached out" You lost. Because your prospect will feel betrayed. And no trust = no sale. Pitching in the DMs works. But not if you do it like this. Either lead with your pitch. Or build a genuine relationship. But never fake it. One of our clients got pitched by our competitors and this is what happened! I told the client - Hey, you can definitely try them out To which he said - No silly, just read their message, it's funny So I am not going to disclose the pitch but point out what exactly was wrong! 1. Highlighting how they have worked with 50+ D2C founders but was not relevant as the client is an investor. Solution: Say you have managed 50+ profiles, no point of highlighting the industry if it is not same as the person you are pitching. 2. The pitch was all about them Solution: Talk about the person you are pitching, make their life easy. The rest can be done in your pitch deck. 3. Spammy subject line - We need to talk! Solution: Understand this - someone who is worth a 100 crore won't fall for this. So make your pitch classy not spammy. If you have started cold-outreaching recently, this might help!
