🌈 "Pride is openness and visibility: a celebration of who I am, remembering there are people who welcome me fully with open arms, and allowing myself to be held with total and complete love/acceptance. On the other, it's about continuing my learning and educating myself about how people (like me and unlike me) are still being systemically marginalized and how I'm either upholding or dismantling those systems. It's both a time of celebration and external connection and time of deep, internal reflection." - Mantra employee (they/them, trans-enby, aro-ace) The end of #PrideMonth shouldn't be the end of Pride; rather it's an invitation to recognize the evolving needs of the LGBTQIA+ community, promote mental health equity, and engage in ongoing learning. How will you continue to celebrate Pride beyond this month? Tell us in the comments. 👇

Global Diversity Inclusion Lead | People & Culture | Communications | École Supérieure de Commerce de Pau Management School | Workplace futurist & a Mom
"You don’t have to struggle in silence. You can be un-silent" - Demi Lovato, American singer & songwriter 🏳️🌈This Pride month, let's highlight the many important topics including #MentalHealth of LGBTQIA+ individuals which is a significant concern-The community often faces unique challenges that can impact their well-being. In corporates, the psychological safety, the lack of cultural sensitivity and unconscious bias affects the individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community who are already struggling with complex thoughts. Along with acceptance of sexual orientation and gender identity, mental health and safety of LGBTQ+ individuals are concerning due to the microaggressions, lack of awareness and novice sensitization at workplaces. If you know someone is struggling, it’s important to usher them to seek support from healthcare professionals, who can medically help on the specific needs of the community. What you can do to help : 🤝 Allyship: Build a safe space and a support system, work towards and support the inclusion needs of the LGBTQIA+ community to navigate the underlying causes. 🆘 Create Helplines : Use the provision to provide helplines for immediate support and help. ‼️Educate and be aware of the signs : Understand the warning signs of mental breakdowns and provide coping strategies available through therapists / medical professionals. Anyone can be struggling a battle of the unknown, so remember - In a world where you can choose to be anything – Be Kind 💜 #pridemonth #mentalhealth #dei #employeewellness #lgbtqmentalhealth #movingbeyondstigma (Image source: Google- Image description: A person showcasing the pride colors on one side of the face and closing the other side - indicating masking mental health)

🏳️🌈💙 Celebrating LGBTQIA Pride Month: Embracing Mental Health and Well-Being 💙🏳️🌈 During LGBTQIA Pride Month, we celebrate the diverse identities and experiences of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual communities. As we honor the progress made towards equality and acceptance, it's essential to recognize the unique mental health challenges faced by LGBTQIA individuals and promote inclusive and affirming spaces for mental health support. Research shows that LGBTQIA individuals are at a higher risk for experiencing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation due to societal stigma, discrimination, and minority stress. It's crucial to prioritize mental health awareness and provide affirming and culturally competent care for LGBTQIA individuals. This Pride Month, let's celebrate the resilience, strength, and diversity of the LGBTQIA community while also raising awareness about the importance of mental health and well-being. By promoting acceptance, support, and access to affirming mental health services, we can create a more inclusive and supportive environment where all individuals can thrive authentically and proudly. 💙🏳️🌈 #PrideMonth #LGBTQIAMentalHealth #InclusiveWellBeing #ModernMePsychology
