Few days ago I completed an incredible 2 months summer internship journey at the esteemed Deutsche Bank! ✨ During the entirety of this internship, I assimilated numerous valuable insights. Among them, specific key lessons resonate profoundly, ones that I intend to carry with me into my future endeavors within any organization. 1. Corporate Insights: Under the guidance of seasoned professionals, I gained a comprehensive understanding of how the corporate world operates. This experience provided me with insights into the intricate workings of a global institution like Deutsche Bank. 2. Team Collaboration: The opportunity to engage in collaborative coding was a game-changer. Working alongside talented co-interns like Sourav Dey and Hitashri Patil, I learned the power of teamwork and how diverse skill sets come together to create exceptional solutions. 3. Software Development Unveiled: Witnessing the step-by-step process of software development was truly enlightening. From concept to deployment, I gained a firsthand overview of how innovative ideas are transformed into cutting-edge software solutions. This internship at Deutsche Bank has also provided me with a hands-on understanding of the finance world, and the skills and knowledge I've gained will undoubtedly serve as a strong foundation as I progress in my career. How I Landed My Dream Job in Wealth Management—Zero Experience, All Grit. In this snapshot, I am 23…fresh from a Financial Planner internship at PepsiCo, where I basically I was forecasting sales for Lay's potatoes every day. A solid finance experience, but a far cry from my dream… To scale the heights of skyscrapers and become a banker. But how to bridge the gap without any banking internship experience? Summer Internship? Too late, most internships were closed. Graduate Program? 1% chance for summer interns. As I kicked off my M.Sc. in Finance, I decided to live and breathe the Private Banker life daily. Here's 5 things I did on daily basis: 1. Read the Financial Times every morning. 2. Check all my emails as if I were already in the office. 3. Dress professionally in class. 4. Learn how to use Bloomberg. 5. Develop an interest in sports that affluent clients love. And guess what? It worked out. I secured a spot in the Full-Time Wealth Management Graduate Program in Geneva. Lesson? Fake till you make it.

For my senior year we were asked to share our internship experience and any tips we have for our peers and there is no better place then on LinkedIn. As a finance major we're required to have practicum experience and for mine I was lucky enough to work at UBS Financial Services. I was able to gain real world experience in wealth management and having a first hand look at the industry I plan to transition into after graduation. Tips that I have are talked about a lot but definitely important. *When applying for an internship don't limit yourself. Don't be afraid to reach for a job that seems "unattainable" rejection is all apart of the process. *Don't rush it. It may seem like just another assignment to check off but picking the right one and getting good experience is worth the wait. *Connect with hiring managers on LinkedIn and go to networking events. Getting your name out early and showing your level of interest goes a long way for current or future job openings. Everyone's experiences are different but its important to go out and explore the position most important to you. I'm happy to talk further with anyone with internship questions.

5 Weeks at JPMorgan: Insights and Experiences It has been 5 weeks since I started my internship at JPMorganChase with the Trade and Working Capital Product Delivery team, and I have to say I am loving every second of it. Here are a few things I have learned about the industry and the culture of the bank. ·     The bank incentivizes networking and promotes events where people have the opportunity to learn about innovations and all the great things the bank has been doing. After every event, there’s a networking session where people can talk about their departments and connect with each other. ·     There is nobody too high in the ranks to reach out to. The bank has a great culture that allows people to get to know each other, and those in senior and leadership positions are eager to meet with people and talk about their work and career paths. ·     Trade is an amazing universe, and it pivots to so many different branches and departments. Global trade connects the whole world. Everything we consume probably has something that came from somewhere else, and it is all thanks to international trade and the exchange of goods.
