Design vs. Client Review 🤝 I designed this flyer today, and the client’s reaction? was amazing 🤩 It's one thing to create, but when someone sees your work and instantly wants to learn the skill? That’s a different level of validation! Good design isn’t just about making things look pretty; it’s about clarity, engagement, and impact. And that’s exactly what I aim for! Thinking of giving your brand that professional touch? send a Dm let's work together. Speculative (spec) work is creative work done for free in hopes of securing a contract with a new client. Spec work rarely leads to paid work; the artist or agency’s ideas become vulnerable to being stolen, and ultimately, the result is more or less guesswork. Refined work is well-researched and ensures the client’s vision is captured, which is challenging without a truly thoughtful and collaborative approach. At Human by Design, our process is a collaborative journey where your vision and our expertise intertwine. We elevate brands by deeply understanding human behavior and crafting a design system that resonates with your audience and modern culture. While we don’t recommend spec work, we understand the desire to get a foot in the door. Here’s what you can do instead — 1. Collaborative workshops 2. Heuristic evaluations 3. Data-driven proposals 4. Upgrade your portfolio / website Feel free to message us if you have questions or need help upgrading your website or brand to attract new customers. 100% of our clients have seen a significant uptick in conversions after our redesigns and rebrands. ✉️ contact@humanbydesign.agency #DesignThinking #BrandStrategy #DesignAgency #Branding #NoSpecWork #DesignTips

I received this flyer in the mail the other day and I thought it could be a great exercise for our Design Takes monthly session. From messaging to visuals, there’s plenty of room for improvement—lack of hierarchy being the biggest issue. While good reviews are valuable and something any business should be proud of, they shouldn’t be the primary focus when promoting or selling a service. In this article, I’ll explore what makes an estate agency flyer clearer and more trustworthy. Of course, there are countless ways to improve a design, but Design Takes sessions focus on refining the original piece while staying true to its core concept." ♻️ repost if you found this useful and follow me for more communication tips, and if there’s a layout or design you’d like me to take a look at, feel free to send it over, and I’ll include it in an upcoming session.

The Final 10% Rule💪 Most creative businesses nail the first 90% of a project: client onboarding, milestone timelines, internal check-ins. But the final 10%? That’s where reputations are made—or broken. • Was the project handoff seamless and satisfying? • Did the client get clear instructions for what’s next? • Did you leave them with resources that continue to build trust? Too many businesses stop at “done” when they should aim for “delighted.” I call it the Final 10% Rule—because those last details are where your clients decide whether to rave about you, rehire you, or recommend you. What’s one way you could elevate your final 10%? #clientexperience #projectsuccess #creativeprocess ••••••••••••••••• ✨ Hi, I’m Amy—I post about growing, streamlining & maximizing peace in my creative business. As a creative professional, calculating your "profitability spectrum" will give you a powerful tool that provides healthy flexibility to find common ground with your clients from a budgetary standpoint, while adding immense value across their marketing, advertising and communication needs. The profitability spectrum will also define a risk to opportunity scale that will help you determine the level of investment you may need to make in nurturing a client relationship, and if that opportunity makes sense for you to put your energy towards.
