With only two weeks until our ‘Understanding the Metric’ BNG workshop with Digital Ecology, it’s time to introduce the host. Introducing Dan Carpenter CEnv, the Managing Director of Digital Ecology and Chief Ecologist at Map Impact. He is an ecologist and environmental data scientist who has been working on biodiversity net gain since 2013 with previous experience in local government and consultancy. Dan has provided training and advice to ecologists, developers, local planning authority teams, and landowners on how to deliver better outcomes for nature through BNG. Dan is particularly interested in good practice in BNG and how condition assessments are carried out, being the principal author of the habitat condition assessment method. If you’re interested in gaining practical expertise from an experienced ecologist and environmental data scientist on how to successfully complete a BNG metric, then this is the event for you.
