I've been thinking a lot about how my 15 year #corporate career has set me up for success when it comes to my transition into #solopreneurlife. Here are some of the ways I feel ahead of the game thanks to the amazing companies I worked for: ▶ Planning like a pro: I developed countless marketing plans and spreadsheets in my career. They're now the blueprint for my own ventures, ensuring every step I take in my business is intentional and focused. ▶ Goals with teeth: Setting and smashing targets was my corporate mantra. That drive hasn't faded – I chase my #solopreneur goals with the same laser focus and ambition even though no one is forcing me to do so. ▶ Juggling on steroids: Multitasking was an Olympic sport in my corporate life (even though one would argue it's not the best method). Y'all know you are on zoom and slack and email all at the same time - it's how we survive whether we like it or not. Now, I seamlessly manage client emails and calls, conversations with vendors and suppliers, social media content, trip planning, etc. ▶ The people whisperer: Building relationships was key to my corporate success. Now, it's the lifeblood of my solo business as well. I connect with clients, collaborate with partners, and forge meaningful relationships that fuel my growth on a daily basis. All of this is to say that: life is a bunch of building blocks. I wouldn't be here without where I've come from and leveraging what I've learned along the way. #happynewyear 🎆

One of my biggest career struggles was transitioning from estimating to sales. My confidence plummeted. Going from precise estimates to sales required a shift in my mindset. ↳ I went from focusing on precision to focusing on building genuine connections. Time Management wasn’t my best skillset. ↳ It's not just about managing time; it's about learning how to prioritize tasks. Developing a Process and Training. ↳ I had to find different ways to adapt into every step of the process. #estimation #sales #challenges
