I started working with the OutSystems platform in 2008, still in version 4. How nostalgic I feel right now. At the time, there weren't the components or the community that exists today, a lot of things were done by hand at that time, and I had to get by with the knowledge I had. It's great to see and understand the technological evolution behind platform 11 and now ODC. Many steps were taken to increasingly transform this platform into number 1 of Low Code platforms. I wish to remain involved and actively participate in the continued growth of this technology. #redshift #outsystemspartner

Had a great time attending the One Conference from OutSystems! As a developer, it’s always exciting to explore new horizons and continuously grow in our craft. During the technical sessions, I was reminded of a gap I often notice in the OutSystems community—there’s a lot of material for beginner to intermediate levels, but not enough for the advanced side of things. The sessions do help to bridge that gap, though they’re still not enough to fully cover the more complex topics. Does anyone else feel the same? Do I think this should be tackled by the documentation team? Not necessarily—some of these more complex cases are just too specific. However, I do believe we, as developers, could do a better job of sharing our experiences, especially when we’re pushing the limits of OutSystems in less conventional ways. I’ll admit, I’m guilty of mostly keeping these insights within my own organization. Sometimes we hold back, thinking it gives us a competitive edge, but let's remember—the true advantage comes from our ability to learn, adapt, and apply new knowledge. Sharing how we think critically and solve unique challenges can only benefit us all. On that note, I want to give a special shoutout to Victor Salvalagio Pereira for his fantastic session "Speeding Up External Code in ODC". He walked us through how he essentially built an Integration Studio for ODC, complete with great features like a GitHub connector, a migration tool for moving from O11 extensions to ODC, and even a GPT-4 connector! This allows you to make prompts for extending external code, with his component already set up to provide the right context, seriously cool stuff. Be sure to check out his session once the recordings are available, and let’s take inspiration from his initiative. Let’s make it a goal for 2025 to share more of our advanced challenges! You can find his work in the ODC Forge at:
