Office Fun, oxymoron? Or moro...('woke' alert!) Be a team player and have fun! DAMNIT! Until early 2020, we have all had to participate in mandatory office celebrations - in person. The uninspired happy birthday drones, the Black Friday rush to the Pizza Party and the inter-office pressure on Hawaiian shirt day! Except for the few extroverts that relish these experiences - I, as a recovering goth and a semi-introverted cynic - find forced fun feeble. Why? Because it is not real. We have all grown a little angrier and more contemptuous overall. We do not have the unnatural enthusiasm to put up with things we consider annoying. However, we all crave connecting with people authentically - more than ever. We realise, more than before, that every minute of our time is precious.
