I can't overstate how excited I am for this! Huge thanks to Olivia Newman and the rest of the team at Pion. My session title is: Will Legislation Eat Snackable Selling (Or, What does it mean for brands when customers don’t even want the things they’ve bought?) I'm going to be telling the story of how with today’s Gen Z have grown up alongside the rise of frictionless e-commerce shopping, being influenced by gamified approaches, and being targeted by hyper accurate algorithms in their social feeds, it can be harder to not shop, than to shop. But are they buying the item in the basket, or the dopamine hit of pressing the buy button?  What does this mean for brand/ customer relationships, and what would it mean for the industry if legislation offering more protection to customers came into play...
