Social media allow some to paint a picture of a glorious life….that is fine. U do U. I get the chance to talk to people in realtime. I hear and can tell, not is all well in their world. The mental strength required to put on a good face is exhausting. People in your network are doing it. We are unaware of our surroundings and don’t think of others. If you are good, reach out to a few folks in your network, check in with them. If you are not good, reach out to a few folks in your network. People are willing to listen. I send the JD and details to them. And, then sometimes get ghosted. I chase them to see if they are interested, nada. If the role was not for them. (Salary, location, not a fit) then tell me. Don’t dismiss someone who is recruiting for a specific role that you don’t like. They might have others in the future. A courtesy response of no thanks goes a long way. A non answer goes the wrong way. I understand your frustration of being ghosted by folks but you need to treat each encounter as independent events. I and others won’t consider you next time. It is an understatement but man it is true. I run my own digital consultancy, Stages Collective. We provide fractional sales and biz dev services. We have several clients and help those client sell to potential customers. I help companies speak with holding companies, Independent agencies, Direct brands, Publishers and Ad tech companies. It is usually start ups that find me but also more established companies. We help companies at different "STAGES" and help them get to the next stage. Wait, are you a recruiter ? I have a recruiting practice area where we offer contingent recruitment, that is sometimes part of the next "Stage" Are all of those your roles that you post everyday? No! I do share my roles . However I share open roles everyday, with some “advice” and a few “dad jokes/hip hop references” . When I SHARE , I tag someone, all that is me saying that someone in my network a first degree connection is looking to hire. I help them by sharing. In turn when I share the other people in my network who are looking can see it. This helps those people are looking. I don’t get paid on my shares, I have no affiliation with these roles and try to help job seekers by tagging the person so they can navigate in easier. PLEASE STOP ASKING ME FOR INTRODUCTIONS. We are now in September which means get your Halloween costume and start looking for holiday presents and get ready for new years... Restless is real as you are trying to get a job but during this time some companies are just not ready now but getting ready. This time of year moves fast. Everyone is hopefully back from various summer vacations and the focus is on 4q finish and getting ready for 25. Planning for 25, which could include you. For those who are sitting on the sidelines. This is a very important push for you. You need to be visible. You need to maintain a close relationship with your network. Try and skip the process and see if you can be a candidate for an upcoming role. If you have been paying attention to my posts, a lot of roles exist. If a company has one role, maybe they have another. If a company announces funding or won an account, reach out to them. Lots of signals and you need to be paying attention to them. Open Role below, scroll down. Oh help wanted! Am I right for the position? WELL Yes, look at my resume! Sometimes the answer seems obvious but know that each organization is looking for something specific . Titles differ from org to org. Read the JD carefully. In this market with a lot of candidates, the hiring and organizations are being selective. They won't look at your resume, sometimes it will not pass their filters. They have filters on to remove some of the resumes that don't "fit". How do I know what they are looking for? Ya don’t know exactly. But read the job descriptions, do your research, and ask questions.  When submitting , make sure your resume maps to words that they use in the JD. It will at least give you a chance, and like biggie wanted a chance.
