HITTING DEADLINES WITHOUT HITTING A WALL It’s said it takes pressure to produce a diamond. In advertising and marketing, it’s also been known to produce trophy cases full of Lucite from time to time. But if you’re not careful, unregulated stress and pressure can lead to mental health issues, too. To commemorate National Wellness Month, we thought we’d share our favorite tips that could help you nail even your most deadly of deadlines without hitting a wall: 1. Prioritize Self-Care: o Ensure you're getting enough sleep, eating nutritious meals, and exercising regularly. These basics have a significant impact on your overall well-being. 2. Set Boundaries: o Establish clear boundaries between work and personal time. Avoid checking emails or work messages during off-hours to ensure you have time to recharge. 3. Practice Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques: o Engage in mindfulness exercises such as meditation, deep breathing, or yoga to help reduce stress and increase focus. 4. Stay Organized: o Use tools like to-do lists, project management apps, and calendars to keep track of deadlines and tasks. Being organized can help reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed. 5. Take Regular Breaks: o Schedule short breaks throughout the day to step away from your desk and clear your mind. Even a five-minute walk can make a big difference.

Nurturing Mental Wellness: Eight Practices for a Healthier Mind 1. Be aware of your thought process: Although we all overthink at times, you have to make sure what your thoughts are, why you are thinking that way, and what makes you annoyed. If you acknowledge your thoughts and try to make them better, trust me, slowly but surely, you will change. 2. Meditate regularly: Each one of us has busy schedules, but take 15 minutes from your day to meditate so that you can understand your thoughts or at least know what's going on in your head. 3. Reading for at least 30 minutes: Reading can significantly improve your well-being. Reading for 30 minutes daily will not only increase your concentration but also lead you to a better lifestyle. 4. Set goals and priorities: Many of us get anxiety due to pending tasks or not being able to take out time for ourselves. Simply ask yourself a question: What is more important for me at the moment, work or family and friends? It can be different for everyone. 5. Practice gratitude: By simply writing down all the things you have – food, home, clothes, family, friends – you will realize how privileged you are. Write down each thing you are grateful for, like the lady who gave her seat to you, an auto driver who dropped you home safely, or the housekeeping lady in your office who always greets you good morning. 6. Competitive over competition: We are all in an era where every individual is competing with the whole world. Stop comparing yourself with others and make sure you have your timezone. 7. Keep learning something new: One of the things that makes us feel low is when we stop indulging in activities or learning new things. To stay away from negative energy, keep doing something, like exercising or learning a new language or recipe. 8. Hangout with your people/person: Hang out with people who make you feel safe and loveable, those who genuinely care about you. It's okay if you don't have many people, but make sure you have at least one person in your life whom you always rely on. #healthymindset #mentalhealthawareness #mindfulness #Wellbeing #positivemindset #selfcarejourney

As a VA and a healthcare practitioner, I am deeply aware of the toll stress can take on individuals in the workplace. In today's fast-paced world, stress has become an inevitable part of our professional lives. However, it's crucial to acknowledge the importance of managing stress effectively to maintain both our mental and physical well-being. Here are some tips that could help; 1. Prioritize Time Management: Organize your tasks by importance and deadlines, creating a schedule that allows for breaks and relaxation periods. This helps prevent feeling overwhelmed and promotes a sense of control over your workload. 2. Practice Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques: Incorporate mindfulness exercises, deep breathing, or meditation into your daily routine to reduce stress levels and promote mental clarity. Even a few minutes of mindfulness can make a significant difference in your overall well-being. 3. Set Boundaries: Establish clear boundaries between work and personal life to prevent burnout. Avoid checking emails or taking work-related calls outside of designated hours, and prioritize self-care activities that recharge your energy. 4. Stay Active: Incorporate regular physical activity into your routine, whether it's a brisk walk during lunchtime or a workout session before or after work. Exercise releases endorphins, which are natural stress relievers, and helps improve mood and overall health. 5. Seek Support: Don't hesitate to reach out to colleagues, friends, or a professional support network when feeling overwhelmed. Sharing your feelings and seeking advice or encouragement can provide valuable perspective and alleviate stress. Hope this helps! #virtualassistant #stressmanagement #stressmanagementtips

Trauma-Informed specialist for teams at risk of retraumatisation or burnout #YuinNation #OurMobMatters
Burnout is the end result of a multitude of trauma responses and coping mechanisms driven by fears. To cure Burnout and ensure it never occurs again, you will want to do core wound work and then put your leadership teams through training on how to spot the red flags in behaviours as soon as they show up. Solutions not statements.
A one-off wellbeing workshop or an annual hour of mindfulness won't cure burnout, as these isolated efforts fail to address the root causes of chronic stress and exhaustion. To effectively address burnout, we must move beyond reactive short-term measures and focus on creating environments where people thrive, not just survive. This proactive approach ensures that individuals are not merely coping but are actively maintaining their mental and physical health, leading to greater overall productivity and job satisfaction.
