🎉 Age Is Not a Barrier to Success: The Inspiring Story of William Davidow 🎉 Friends, today I want to share an incredible story that proves age is just a number. On LinkedIn, Ilya Strebulaev mentioned William Davidow, who launched the startup Berkeley Lights at the age of 76 and took it public at 85. This happened just 4 years ago, and I hope he is still with us, inspiring millions of people around the world. William Davidow is a brilliant example that it’s never too late to start something new. Despite his age, he wasn't afraid to take a risk and create a tech company that achieved great success. Berkeley Lights specializes in cell biology technologies, and its IPO became a landmark event in the industry. This story is both a fantasy and a reality. It inspires and motivates all of us. It doesn't matter if you are 20, 40, or 76 — it's never too late to start something new and achieve success. The key is believing in yourself and having the desire to move forward. What do you think about this story? Share your thoughts in the comments! Maybe you also have examples of people who inspire you to achieve new heights? #Inspiration #NeverTooLate #WilliamDavidow #StartupSuccess #TonyFich

Founder at Lumen Longevity | Catalysing Australian Longevity Ecosystem | Longevity Investment Advisor | Vipassana meditator
Are you a bored investor looking for innovative startups with a wow-factor where you can exit within 5 years? 🥱💰 After watching many longevity biotech startup pitches, I can see that investors are still waiting for something special and chasing quick money rather than progress. ❗️First of all, dear investors, all of the startups in longevity biotech are already doing miraculous things. It might not be clear from their super-scientific presentations (let me know, and I’ll help you translate and interpret), but how is cancer depletion within a day not a miracle?!🤯 How is fully clearing cholesterol plaque and making cardiovascular diseases obsolete not a miracle!?🤯 How is the rejuvenation of the immune system with bone marrow stem cells and, as a result, the extension of healthspan by 20% not a miracle!?🤯 All seem pretty miraculous to me! And there are many more. ‼️Second, if we continue chasing quick cash on an individual level, we’re spreading ourselves too thin across too many things and merely hoping for the best. But if we make a collective effort towards a few miraculous things, we’ll have breakthroughs that will show that what biotech is working on is pivotal for humanity. Hence, we’ll have more funding from those who didn’t believe at first and easier pathways for everyone else working in the field.🧬🎉 We can make more money when we have progress, but we can’t make progress without investment.🤔 *meme credit Longevity Biotech Fellowship & Vitalism

I'm on a mission to help 2000 San Diegans leave their caves and get into the tech and entrepreneurship community
Have you met Dr. Silvia Paw-h-D? She’s part of so many San Diego packs that we needed a whiteboard. Thankfully, we have one. Paw-sibly you know her from: - adastra.ventures: a firm aimed at significantly increasing the % of female founders who receive funding. - Stella Angels, a female investment angel group. - Angel investor in 140+ companies (betting that’s a bit higher now). - The author of the book: The Startup Investor Mindset. - Founding member of the San Diego Angel Conference. - Maybe she even helped your startup. Indeed, her achievements are nothing to howl lightly about. There’s more, but the whiteboard is full, and we’re not about to use our fur to clear this thing. Anyways, there’s a good chance you’re sensing a theme here. She fights hard for her female coyotes! But it would seem that she’s accessible and willing to help all founders in San Diego too. I’ve even heard that she’ll accept a meeting with nearly anyone. You might not know this, but she moved to CA from Venezuela to study Biology, then continued on to get her MBA from UCSD, and then a PhD in Marine Biology. Her efforts echo across our ecosystem and help all San Diego builders and founders and we’re thankful that she's so active here in our city. Howl yeah Silvia Paw-h-D, thank you for all you do to support our city and for showing us the value of building a mighty San Diego pack. -- there are only 2 ways to receive a customized coyote clone: - Be a fearless advocate for our San Diego tech and entrepreneurship ecosystem - Invite your pack to leave their dens and join The Social Coyote in the San Diego tech and entrepreneurship community Get plugged in with the pack here: howl.thesocialcoyote.com

Capped off a great conference in Boston with a history tour of MIT with the TECNA gang! Very cool! The last two days have been filled with great opportunities to learn and build relationships with CEOs and their teams from tech hubs all across North America. Some key learnings… 1. Convening - TECNA brought amazing people together who were then able to help each other through experience sharing and knowledge sharing. I learned a ton from the speakers, but especially from my peers. 2. Fellowship - you just can’t beat good ol’ in person hanging out with someone. I’d met several of these folks in calls but when you have time and space to have a meal, go on a walk or just spend time with someone, you quickly build a totally different level of respect and fellowship. This fellowship is what turns a couple of days of sharing into continued support and collaboration. These two things are arguably the most important part of community building and are at the core of our strategy at Edmonton Unlimited to help the awesome entrepreneurs we serve. Looking forward to sharing my learnings with the team! #tech #innovation #startup #entreprenueurship #community Edmonton Unlimited
