AdvantaClean of Fort Lauderdale provides essential indoor air quality services to residential and commercial customers.
🔸 Improper mechanical ventilation - Dryer vents, plumbing vents, kitchen vents and bathroom vents should always be exhausted to the exterior of the building. When these vents are not exhausted properly, moist air is deposited into the attic, raising the humidity, and potentially causing attic mold growth. 🔸 Lack of proper attic ventilation or attic insulation – In cooler climates, or just winter months in general, warm, moist air enters our attics from the living space below and clashes against the cool roof decking and framing, resulting in condensation or even interior frost in attic. This repeated and sustained wetting of the wood encourages attic mold growth. Attic ventilation systems help control the attic moisture, temperature and humidity by exhausting the moist air, eliminating the potential for condensation or frost in the attic. When addressing any interior mold issue, the attic moisture source must be addressed to provide a long term solution. The key to eliminating attic mold is controlling the moisture in the attic. AdvantaClean experts can help diagnose your attic moisture and attic mold issues by properly recommending and implementing an attic ventilation system or other corrective measures.

“Hey Pulse, what’s this bell shaped thing on this pipe in my basement?” This is your PRV! A Pressure Reducing Valve is a valve that reduces the incoming water pressure from the city to a safer level for your home, and helps protect your plumbing system from damage caused by high water pressure. PRVs regulate water pressure, maintain pressure consistency, and prevent damage to pipes, fixtures, and appliances. They also improve energy efficiency by reducing water waste and extending the lifespan of your plumbing components. PRVs are usually installed where the main water line enters your home or building, just after the main shutoff valve. In a recent blog we covered devices like the Flo by Moen, which would also go near your PRV. Signs your PRV may be failing: 1) Sudden changes in pressure (low pressure followed by a surge) 2) Water Hammer, or a loud banging noise in your pipes 3) Leaking PRV; you'll see pooled water near the main shutoff valve to your home 4) High Water Bill: an unexplained increase in your water bill due to excess water evacuating the faucets At Pulse Plumbing, we're passionate about well-maintained plumbing systems. If you suspect your PRV is malfunctioning, we’re here to help. Regular maintenance and timely replacement of your PRV can ensure the safety and efficiency of your plumbing system for years to come. Understanding The Differences Between Plumbing Fixtures And Appliances When it comes to home plumbing, distinguishing between fixtures and appliances is crucial for intelligently discussing issues with your plumber. Plumbing fixtures are permanent parts of a home's plumbing system, typically connected directly to the water supply. Examples include sinks, toilets, and bathtubs. These fixtures are designed to deliver fresh water and drain wastewater effectively. Plumbing appliances, on the other hand, are devices that use water to perform specific tasks and are usually removable or replaceable. Common examples include dishwashers, washing machines, and water heaters. Unlike fixtures, appliances often have electrical components and require both water supply and drainage connections.. Understanding these differences helps homeowners know how to best relay repair requests and maintenance needs. At East Coast Plumbing, we specialize in both plumbing fixtures and appliances. Whether you need installation, repair, or maintenance, our experienced team is ready to assist you. Historic masonry heater in Stockholm, Sweden - The main thing that distinguishes a masonry heater from other wood-fired heating appliances is the ability to store a large amount of heat. This means that you can rapidly and cleanly burn a large charge of wood without overheating your house. This type of oven uses the wood in a very efficient way because the smoke circulates in a built-in duct system, which slowly releases the heat from the oven out to the coated tiles. The tiles then have the function of storing heat. Christineberg type tiled stoves keeps the heat for up to 24 hours after firing. You can still buy them new…

Bathroom Plumbing Explained Typically bathrooms are equipped with a toilet, sink, shower, and/or tub. These fixtures all require cold water and some hot to function properly. Here we give an overview of bath plumbing. The toilet has a cold water supply line to help complete the flush cycle. The toilet stores water until the flush handle is activated, and wastewater is carried to the sewer line. The sink requires hot and cold water and a mixing valve to blend the two for temperature control. The wastewater exits the sink and drains into the sewer as well. The tub and shower have two water supply lines running under the floor and up the wall to a faucet or shower heat. A diverter valve dictates whether the water is sent to the tub or the showerhead, depending on which is desired. All bath fixtures empty wastewater through a P-trap which supplies a liquid barrier between living spaces and sewer gases. We offer bathroom plumbing in Harrah. Call us today! #HarrahBathroomPlumbing
