Throwback to the mid-1980s when additive manufacturing was in its infancy, a groundbreaking technique called Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) was born. It was the brainchild of Dr. Carl Deckard and Dr. Joe Beaman from the University of Texas at Austin. SLS was one of the first successful forays into the realm of additive manufacturing, opening up a world of possibilities in various fields, from medical to automotive and beyond. This method paved the way for a revolution in manufacturing, giving rise to a whole new era of design and production capabilities. Today, as we continue to innovate and advance in technology, let's take a moment to appreciate the pioneering work of visionaries like Dr. Deckard and Dr. Beaman, who set the foundation for the transformative landscape of modern manufacturing.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to take a cruise around Australia with my family during my leave of absence. It was the perfect time to unwind, reset, and step away from the usual routine. The trip offered a great mix of relaxation and activities, allowing us to truly enjoy the experience. We spent our days by the pool, soaking in beautiful views and enjoying a variety of dining options. Evenings were filled with entertainment, including live shows and performances, adding an exciting touch to each day. For families, there were plenty of activities like games, outdoor movies, and water-based fun, making it a trip everyone could enjoy. The spa was also a fantastic way to recharge. Now, I’m back with renewed energy and focus, ready to take on the challenges ahead. Sometimes, all it takes is a well-timed break to come back stronger than ever. #WorkLifeBalance #Recharge #TravelAustralia

For me, health and fitness go beyond just hitting the gym or running a few miles. It’s about eating well, staying active, and making sure exercise is a regular part of life, whether that's jogging, running, or engaging in a sport that keeps you moving. But I’ve also come to realise that health isn’t just physical. Building and maintaining healthy relationships is just as important for overall wellbeing. It’s all about finding balance between body, mind, and connections with others. #HealthAndFitness #Wellbeing #ActiveLifestyle

This drives home manufacturing’s importance. We need it, in all its various forms. Even Buzz and Woody and the rest of our favourite toys are the results of manufacturing. Not to mention the vehicle you drive, the computer you’re reading this on, and the chair you’re sitting on. #Manufacturing #Innovation #Craftsmanship #TankFabInc

Ever wondered how recycled plastics can be transformed into new products? Check out this quick video on recycling plastics into pellets. In the recycling process, plastic waste is first collected and sorted. It’s then cleaned to remove impurities before being shredded into small pieces. These pieces are melted down and extruded into uniform pellets. These pellets can be used as raw material for manufacturing a wide range of new products, from containers to construction materials. This method not only reduces plastic waste but also conserves resources and energy. By recycling plastics into pellets, we’re closing the loop on waste and contributing to a more sustainable future. #LocalManufacturing #PlasticRecycling #SustainableFuture

Working hard is the key to success, but staying humble is just as important. No matter how far you go, it’s always good to keep learning, improving, and appreciating those around you. In any business, especially in manufacturing, hard work shows up in every detail, from improving processes to delivering quality products. But humility helps keep things in perspective, allowing room for growth and respect for the team and the community. Success built on hard work and humility tends to last longer. It encourages collaboration, continuous learning, and strong connections with others. #BreseightAustralia #StayHumble #LeadershipSkills

I recently took a leave of absence, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. It gave me the chance to rest, reflect, and recharge in a way I didn’t even realise I needed. Stepping back allowed me to return to work with a clearer mind and a renewed sense of focus. The break has had a positive impact on my productivity and creativity. I’ve come back more energised, and with fresh perspectives on the challenges I’m facing. Sometimes, taking that time away is exactly what we need to come back even stronger. It’s amazing what a little rest can do. #MentalHealth #PersonalGrowth #WorkBalance
