Put your coffee down and try this instead! When you're feeling flat before presenting, you might want to grab some caffeine. But if you're sensitive, it could put you on edge at the exact moment you're also getting nervous. So how can you wake yourself up while staying calm? Here's a breathing technique I learnt and then adapted from free divers a few years ago. Try it out a few times and let me know how you feel. Make sure those breaths into your belly and ribcage are big but smooth, and keep your shoulders down. #womeninbusiness #charities #energypolicy

Here is to 10 more great years
Wow, 10 years today The Running Charity became a registered charity, we tend not to look back as an organisation or a team, focused firmly on the young people, where they are going and how we can support them. But days like this are important to mark. As a charity we have pioneered and paved the way, demonstrating the power of running to reach in and raise up the lives of people that much of society and sport had turned their back on. There are so many people we need to thank but we wanted more than anything to thank the 1000s of young people who have put one foot in front of the other to be better than the hand they were dealt and build a better life for themselves. From the first group who designed it with us to those of you who are just starting their journey now, we are so proud to be with you by your side. Over the next year, we will be creating, crafting and celebrating this milestone with this beautiful community, stay tuned, stay running, and keep caring! If you want to be part of leading the run and transforming both the running community and those most in need of its transformative power, then get in touch.

As we embark on our journey to Nepal, you might be wondering how you can still support our mission. One way is by helping us bring the power of dance and movement to the children's education 🤩 Your donation can help provide dancing or sports equipment, essential tools in our teaching resources. Why dance, you ask? Because movement is everything. It's not just about physical health; it's about expression, creativity, and joy. Dance can break down barriers, build confidence, and create a sense of community among the children 🧡 Your support can make a significant difference in their lives, offering them new opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive through the universal language of dance. Plus, your donation is tax-deductible. Let's dance together towards a brighter future for these children. Connecting top philanthropic entrepreneurs that want to make impact together | DM me "IMPACT" and I'll introduce you to over 100+ members | Impact changed my business, let me help you do the same!
I planned to raise money for a run I am doing this weekend, but let doubt keep me from sharing it 😣 Yes, even the Chief Giving Officer can create his own limiting beliefs around giving. You see, I am running an ultra marathon on Saturday and I had this incredible idea months ago to create a new division of our company... GoBigtoGiveBig Sponsored Athletes! 🏃♂️🏃♀️💸🫶🏻 For people doing challenges or hard things to raise money for causes. We would build them a landing page Create an intake form Help them find a charity Promote them to our network Even help them write some social posts And give everyday people the confidence and platform to raise money. I thought I would sample it myself on my run and raise some money for children to get into sports. 😎 🙅♂️But then the doubt kicked in... ❌The websites not good enough ❌Nobody will want to donate because it's a hard season right now ❌You don't have time to promote it ❌What if you only raise $100. Thats embarrassing. So I buried the idea for months...🫤 Then this morning I woke up and said screw that. What if I only raise $100 from a simple landing page... Thats still $100 more than if I created excuses not to. I need to live by my own philosophy. 👇 ⭐️ "It doesn't matter HOW MUCH you give, it matters THAT you give" ⭐️ So, I am taking the next 5 days to find people that want to sponsor my run and help support more children get involved in sports! I am doing the BackYard Ultra Last Man Standing 🏃♂️💨 a 6.7km(4.2mi) loop, every hour, on the hour, until you can longer complete the loop and there is only 1 racer left! I am hoping to do 15 laps and complete 100KM We set up a simple intake that allows you to pledge how much you'd like to donate per lap and you will be notified after we complete to share how much each person will donate! GoBigtoGiveBig is the first sponsor at $33/lap! ($500 if I complete 15 laps) If you would like to sponsor, I have left a link to my simple, discouraging, yet effective landing page in the comments! Final reminder: Don't let your fear stop you from making an impact in this world! ❤️

💫 Reflection Time Last night, someone told me that donating plasma is a selfless act. It’s not the first time I’ve heard that, but I realized I hadn’t fully considered *why* I do it. For me, it’s important because I know it helps others who need my plasma far more than I do. It’s not just a task; it’s meaningful, knowing each donation makes a difference. I’m proud to say I haven’t missed a fortnightly donation all year-18 donations so far in 2024! But it got me thinking: why is it sometimes so hard to set aside a couple of hours to do something just for ourselves? Whether it's joining a book club, taking dancing or singing lessons, or learning a new sport-these things fuel us, help us grow, and bring joy. Time is our most valuable asset. If we can commit a few hours every few weeks to something that gives back to others, shouldn’t we also prioritize time for our own growth, happiness, and mindfulness? Let’s make the effort to invest in ourselves, even if it’s just two hours every now and then. We deserve it. #SelfCare #Growth #Mindfulness #TimeWellSpent #DonatingPlasma #lifeboodaustralia

How do you knock a couple of minutes off a personal best time for a 5km run… When you’ve only got one day left to do it, and your legs are already knackered from running 100km over the last 28 days? 🏃🏻♂️🤔 Well that’s the quandary I had to figure out when heading into run 29, but if I could miraculously do it somehow. This would allow me to unlock two additional blocks of funding for the charity fundraiser. As two of my friends, had challenged me to beat two different 5km times ⏱️ That seemed completely out of my reach when I first set out on this journey. Although, if there’s one thing I’ve learnt from committing to the process of running everyday in July. Is that you can always be smarter with the routes you take, even if they are going to push my fitness limits to their absolute break point. Which is exactly what I did; as I decided to get a slight lift to one of the highest starting points in Bolton ⛰️ That was fortunately just adjacent to the circuit that I’d usually use to train 👟 As my master plan, was to give myself a video game style speed boost 🏎️💨 That would hopefully propel me to those two target times. However, there was a major caveat to this. As in order to reach those goals, I’d need to maintain a pace that I wasn’t fully accustomed with yet 🥵 So this wasn’t going to be the easiest of workarounds, but it wasn’t going to stop me from at least giving it a go. But the real question now is… did I have enough stamina, to get over the line in time? 😳 (I don’t think I could’ve written any more anticipation for a video 😂, although this is quite a monumental episode) —————————— If you'd like to support this challenge for the Speed Of Sight Charity Then please do consider checking out the link to the fundraising page in the comment section 🔗 Thank you for all of the support and donations so far 🫶🏻 #run #video #motivation #challenges #charity #mentalhealth #contentcreation
