High carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere have resulted in global warming. In recent years, humanity has resorted to the use of new sources of sustainable energy, and with technological advancement, means of generation and application of these energies have been developed. 

Major news: trees are even more important for the planet than we thought 🌍🌳 A new study has found that trees don't just absorb CO₂ — they also remove methane from the atmosphere, through the microbes that live in their bark! Methane is a greenhouse gas responsible for around 30% of global warming, so this means forests play an even bigger role in fighting climate change than previously thought. Everyone is talking about global warming and greenhouse gases..... 🌏, however, it is surprising that not so many (at least from my experience) even know the mass of the atmosphere, how it is calculated, how to use it to calculate the weight of 1ppm CO2 in the atmosphere...tell me how you can calculate that 1ppm CO2 in the air contains around 2.13 Gt C. 🤣 🤣 It is important that we not only know that 2-3ppm CO2/year increase in the air but also realize how much C we emitted to the air per capital and from there we have a clear picture what we can do as an individual to be environment friendly. #CO2 #globalwarming #GHGs

The bogs and the swamps contain more carbon than all other ground vegetation and that's normal considering how the very wet soil interacts with the plants and their carbon. As the permafrost melts the greenhouse gases are released, which in turn accelerate global warming melting more and more ice and permafrost.

Cleaner air or fewer wildfires? A new study from University of California Riverside shows that cleaning up the air, which is something we all want to do, will accelerate global warming and also have an effect on wildfires unless we also reduce emissions of greenhouse gases like methane and carbon dioxide. More than 150 countries have signed a pledge to reduce methane emissions by at least 30 per cent from 2020 levels by 2030. Although we didn’t need additional reasons to love trees more, a recent study has revealed even more climate-related advantages of trees, highlighting their critical role in combating global warming.
