Just when I thought my love for Salad and Go couldn't grow any deeper... Not only are we dedicated to making healthy, delicious food accessible for everyone, but we've now officially welcomed a charity focused on bringing nutrient-dense meals to underserved communities and empowering youth with the knowledge of healthy eating habits. Seriously, what can’t Salad and Go do? I couldn’t be prouder of Brandi Hale, Megan Murphy, and the rest of the team's hard work in turning this dream into a reality. The charity will build on the already impressive and inspiring impact Salad and Go has made to communities since 2013 — over $1.3 million donated to nonprofits! This October, guests can join us to help make a difference by donating to Salad and Go Charities directly in our drive-thrus! Funds collected will support local meal programs in the communities where Salad and Go operates. Learn more about Salad and Go Charities here: https://lnkd.in/gDfRFDm3

Laugh at yourself. That’s the approach we took when we removed one of our beloved seasonal salads, the Caprese. We knew our fans would be upset, so instead of trying to convince them they'd love our new fall menu (which they will!), we leaned in and created a funny video about preparing to "battle" the comments. My advice? When it makes sense, don't take yourself, your brand, or your work too seriously. Have fun and laugh at yourself. Most people will appreciate it. And a shoutout to Cameron LaFontaine for being our social media star! He's now had water thrown on him and shopped at the local Spirit Halloween store for a medieval costume - all in the name of great social media content.

-Rounds of creative reviews -Storyboards -Extensive script writing -Multiple leadership approvals -Countless takes -Repetitive video and copy edits None of the above took place to make our first viral TikTok happen. Instead, we let our team do what they do best: create. If you want your Brand to go viral then hire someone you trust, who knows what they're doing, and give them the freedom to do it. It also doesn't hurt if they're willing to be splashed with a bucket of water. Shoutout to Cameron LaFontaine on a job well done! 270k video views, +35k engagements, +600 new TikTok followers, and we're just getting warmed up!

Bringing back a fan-favorite menu item, which our passionate social media fan base has been demanding us to do for months, meant creating a launch moment just as worthy as the item itself. Thanks to the help of the team, Cameron LaFontaine and Chef Daniel Patino, we did just that with the below "Mean [Caprese] Tweets" video. This is what happens when you work for a leadership team that trusts you enough to have fun, laugh at yourself, and frankly leave you alone and let the good ideas come to life! Enjoy the below video, oh and uh.. try the BLEEP [Caprese] salad!

This article serves as a stark reminder that restaurants are quick to talk the talk of "healthy menu offerings" but few walk the walk. Check out the nutrition facts at Salad and Go and you'll find that on average our salads are well below the daily recommended value for sodium and fat content. That's due to the hard work of the team to ensure our salads are always tasty AND healthy. Turns out, you can have both. 🥗 🧡
